This is certainly an Alpine Classic that most hard-men cut their teeth on. It is not super hard but consistant with reasonable protection through the crux sections. Having said that it should be noted that this is a objective that requires a high end climbing skill level and mountaineering experience.
A cyclist straining as they race up Swains Lane in Highgate, London during an Urban Hill Climb street racing event organised by the London Cycling Campaign, sponsored by Osbornes Law. The event is a flat-out race up the steepest street in London and alongside age and gender categories has competitions for folding and cargo bikes.
Swain’s Lane is the most famous and notorious climb in London. The lane is an extremely steep section of road, located in-between Hampstead Heath and Highgate Cemetery with a gradient that averages 9% over 0.6km, but increases to 14% near the top of the climb.

Just arrived at Arley in time for a train to come in. was abit rushed but tried to get the steam whilst going through the tunnel
This is a wide shot I took with my Sumsung note 4 at 12 MP.
I wanted to get the whole train and carriages with the train station at the background. Sadly this Newcastle train station will be close down after Christmas and it's 100 year history will be gone.
