i rushed out of my house at 6:20 to catch the 6:45am train. i got to the station at 6:35 just in time to watch the train pull out of the station. there is no 6:45 train. there's a 6:35 and a 7am train.

Ok not a very clever title, I know.. ;) I ran out into the middle of the street to get this shot from below, of someone's combat boots hanging from the power-lines near the entrance to our Naval Hospital in Bremerton. No idea what the story is behind this.. but if anyone knows, I'd sure like to hear it!

We stayed in TheHotel--this is the Mandalay Bay proper. The trees to either side are, like much else in Las Vegas, unnatural.

Whenever we find a slimming mirror, we have to take pictures! Julie really is this slim though.

It's a gorgeous day, but I am pretty much out of energy and ideas for anything, including self-portraits. I did get to eat lunch outside at a favorite Ann Arbor restaurant - a sign that spring is finally here. I also took pictures of my dessert, which I think caused our server to believe I was a food critic.

A sculpture in downtown LA. I set the camera in it's shade right underneath it. Must've been right at noon!
