It is always nice to return to inspiring places. This building on the university campus in Nijmegen (NL) is one of them.

This sports hall (Sportcentrum Arcus in Wijchen, NL) appeals to me because of its pattern of greens. Each level is more dark green, which is a nice analogy to the development of plants: starting small and frail, in time growing higher and full of leaves. The leaves of the tree in front just started sprouting and will hopefully follow the same pattern of growth throughout this year. Architectural design by Bureau Bos in The Netherlands. An appropriate name in relation to the theme of growth, as bos is Dutch for forest.

'Oklahoma' by MVRDV architects - a housing project for the elderly in Amsterdam

In the series Fire Escapism I aim to elevate spirits by a creative play with rhythm and manipulation of the photographic reality. In this 6th exercise I am focussing on scale and virtual depth by making the divisions of the vertical space smaller and smaller.

Amsterdam Sloterdijk - 2016

On a sunny day in Amsterdam I was taking photos while being filmed. The short video, including an interview with me on my work will be published soon. This image was the result of this pleasant meeting.

After a wonderful experience at The Other Art Fair in Londen I am back in Holland again. Here is another image from my current exhibition in Almere (NL) near Amsterdam. The building is the Tarra Tower, designed by MVRDV architects.

A parking lot in Hoofddorp (NL) in the good old summertime. In the bottom right corner is my son who accompanied me.

This is one of six large prints that were sold to a gallery in Seoul, South Korea.

The Blaak Tower in Rotterdam (NL) is popularly known as 'The Pencil'. Looking at a corner with a shadow and sunny side, I got the impulse to try and mix them up in a pattern. This resulted in a new association as mentioned in the title.

Two appartment towers in Antwerp Belgium display a similar design in two colours. I united them into this visual sorbet.

Hotel facade at the airport of Lyon, France. Light and reflections created this watercolor magic in front of my camera.

From my Almere series, exhibited at the Stadsarchief Almere 06-06 to 03-10, 2019. The series of 24 works is the result of my commission to visualise the architecture of Almere (near Amsterdam) in my particular way.

Nijmegen, the Netherlands (2015)

This building, heavily draped in vines for a good portion of the year, is one of my favourites in Rome due to the combination of out-of-control greenery (some windows are completely covered) and the number of doors, windows and balconies all over the facade.

I took a lot more photos than I uploaded this year!

The arch-shaped interior wall and ceiling of the Rotterdam Foodmarket. In this edit I transformed the round shapes into a #straightfacade.
