The KNMI will issue code orange for Sunday throughout the country due to storm Ciara. This measure will apply from the second part of the afternoon due to very heavy gusts of wind.

Hoogmade is a town in the Dutch province of Zuid-Holland. The town is located in a rural setting in a typically Dutch landscape. There are various activities available. In the vicinity are many water sports. You can rent boats and canoes and fishing rods are available. The Doeshofmolen mill and Achthovense mill lie in the Green Heart in the province of Zuid-Holland. It is located along a dike, note the boats higher than the land level of foreground. The mills were built for pumping the land dry.They are build in 1830 and 1893, where meadows, ditches and typical Dutch windmills define a landscape perfect for walking, cycling, boating and swimming. But you can also think a ride on a horse. Hoogmade is a village in the Dutch province of South Holland. It is located about 7 km east of Leiden, in the municipality of Kaag en Braassem. Hoogmade was a separate municipality between 1817 and 1855, when it merged with Woubrugge.
The historic Doeshofmolen and Achthovense windmills located left and right and in the distance the Meerburgermolen in the rural landscape of Gemeente Kaag en Braassem, South Holland, Netherlands. Het is een dorp in de Zuid-Hollandse gemeente Kaag en Braassem en ligt ten oosten van Leiden en ten noordwesten van Alphen aan den Rijn. Hoogmade ligt aan het riviertje de Does. Ten oosten ligt de Wijde Aa met veel mogelijkheden voor watersport en recreatie. In Hoogmade zelf is een leuke dorpskern aanwezig met winkels en horeca en als je van het buitenleven houdt kunt u in de omgeving heerlijk fietsen, wandelen en varen. Hoogmade wordt sinds de dertiende eeuw genoemd in geschriften. Het had van circa 1255 tot 1795 grote zelfstandigheid. Sinds 1855 behoorde Hoogmade tot de gemeente Woubrugge en sinds 1 januari 2009 behoort Hoogmade tot de gemeente Kaag en Braassem, een samengaan van Alkemade en Jacobswoude. De Doeshofmolen links te zien is een grondzeiler nabij Hoogmade. Nadat de molen in mei 1949 stormschade had opgelopen, werd niet meer tot herstel overgegaan en werd de bemaling overgenomen door de naastliggende polder Achthoven. De Doeshofmolen en de nabij gelegen Achthovense wipmolen, vormen samen een karakteristiek beeld in het vlakke polderland. Jammer is, dat de Doeshofmolen niet meer bedrijfsvaardig is. Wel vindt het inlaten van vers boezemwater nog bij de molen plaats. In de verte zie je de nieuwste aanwinst in Leiderdorp: de Meerburgermolen uit 1684.

Boven de Utrechtse Baan staat een kantoorgebouw. De zijkanten van dit gebouw zagen er altijd degelijk en creatief uit vanwege hun brede zwarte lijnen over de volle breedte en hoogte. Maar deze muren leken van bordkarton. De stormmen van de afgelopen tijd hebben de waarheid blootgelegd.
Om te voorkomen dat er nog meer "muur" zou verdwijnen heeft men de "muur" met latjes vastgezet. Ik neem aan dat dit tijdelijk is. Er komen nog wat foto's van de schade.

After three consecutive storms (Dudley, Eunice and Franklin) the lawn has turned into a pond. Of course, the wrecked fence in the picture is also because of the storm.
Na drie achtereenvolgende stormen (Dudley, Eunice en Franklin) is het grasveld veranderd in vijver. De kapotte schutting is ook stormschade.
I don't know if it was Corrie, Eunice or Franklin, but one of the storms of the past days blew down two trees on the playground in our street.
The waterline of the beach has moved considerably, storm damage is visible on the washed-off beach, large amounts of sand have disappeared and the ship play object is almost in the water.

Het Kleine Strandje is a small but popular beach located in the Fortress of Hellevoetsluis. The beach is located on the Haringvliet and offers a beautiful view of the Hellevoetsluis lighthouse and the passing recreational sailing boats. The Kleine Strandje is an ideal place to relax, and also a popular place for swimming because the water is shallow, making it safe for children. The beach is equipped with some play equipment for children and a pirate ship. The moment of sunrise, but especially the sunset, is popular, which gives a special and always different view of the horizon.

De puinhopen van storm met orkaankracht zijn in het Ruhrgebied overal duidelijk zichtbaar. Afgeknakte takken, omgewaaide bomen en amper treinverkeer.

Vandaag, 20 november, bleek een lastige dag voor het spoor. Door harde wind werden op veel plekken takken of zelfs hele bomen op het spoor gewaaid. Maar zelfs op het bomenloze Utrecht Centraal was er schade. Bouwmaterialen, die nodig zijn voor de laatste delen van de verbouwing, waaiden uit het niets het spoor op, deels ook in de bovenleiding. Spoor 1 t/m 8 werden hierdoor voor enige uren buiten dienst gesteld.
