Taken in the old part of Las Vegas, I don't exactly know why I like this one, it is out of focus and really isn't that amazing, but when I saw what was on film I had to print it out and put it in my "folder".
Stoplight with two casinos in the background.
I'm currently interested in taking sunrise pictures since I'm up around the same time that the sun is starting to rise. It's interesting because no sunrise is alike. I love the contrast of technology in the fore and middle ground with he nature in the background. It kind of shows the conflict in society between natural beauty and their priorities.

Doesn't look so useful anymore, does it? There are still intersections with no signal or flashing reds, which screws with traffic something fierce.
It was foggy outside. I thought it would be interesting to try to take a picture.
Plus to try out the B&W filter (laugh)
Sat 2 Feb 2013: Stoplight Rose.
I was reading about the significance of spirals and how our eyes are drawn to them but hadn't intended to photograph any today. I thought the cold, cycle ride would give me a decent sunset on a twisty road - failed there. So, the last resort roses and their spirals beckoned me over.
(all my pics, it seems, are taken from the car. one of these days I'll stop being so lazy and actually get OUT to take my pics, instead of on-the-go.) - be that as it may, I still find this shot to have some rustic appeal. :)
I made these earrings from a Friendly Plastic project book that was published in 1991 by Hot Off the Press. Friendly Plastic is the brand of a type of plastic that can be melted using an oven or hot water. This particular project called for red, yellow, and green gems too. Very arresting, IMHO. (hehe)
