Driving down 705 past Keglers there was the lonely stop light ahead of me. Just these three little red beacons. From far away it almost looked monstrous. As I snapped the photo though (being safely stopped at the red light) the light changed from red to green. Didn't realize I caught both colors until I got back here to iPhoto.

In Sweden the yellow light comes on with the red as an indication that the green is coming

This is actually one of my most prized photos. I have been living in the armpit of Southern California for four years now and have found little to enspire me. This shot has been my greatest triumph over my photographic apathy. To me it says that a beutiful photo can still be wrestled from all the visual ugliness and boringness around me.

I wonder what was the last car it stopped - and when it last was lit.

Corner of Main and CR H, Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant.

The line of cars heading west out of Saline, most on their way home to Tecumseh, Clinton, and beyond.

Don't you hate it when you stop at a trafic light and you can't see the light because of the sun?

the gypsum from White Sands down the mountain from us gets picked up in these 50-60 mile an hour winds... and we get a smog like day

Look at that plate. I saw the Aston, and then the plate, and was said to myself...Looks bad.

Some underwater photos from our last year's trip to St. John, USVI.... hoping to get some great shots on this next trip. Only 2 weeks to go!!

Bayshore Boulevard at Howard Avenue, car facing northeast. Note the Bayshore Royal in the background, which has been around since the 1920s.

this is in Houston, and it still works the same as ugly, normal stoplights

This is the intersection of Ninth Line and Fifth Sideroad here in Halton Hills. A couple weeks ago, a transport truck had a little “Whoopsie” while turning the corner…. the trailer took out the pole supporting some wires and the traffic lights. At that moment the intersection became a four way stop, and the locals are griping something fierce in the Georgetown Independent that nobody is fixing it. As for the photo, I rather liked the haunting way the disabled stoplight hangs over it’s temporary replacement. The car that went through the photo didn’t bother much with stopping either.

Had just finished a portrait session where I kind of waited around to see if we were going to get any golden sunset light. I gave up and shot the pics without it, and then, on the way home . . . .

shoot!

:o)
