#Ukraine Will Resist, Berlin 22.02.2022

It was originally built as the Roman Catholic church of Corpus Christi, and today serves as the Greek Catholic church of the Holy Eucharist.

Full Scale Freedom Demo für die Freiheit der Ukraine, Berlin 24.02.2023
Picture: An Ukrainian guy is standing on a destroyed Russian tank in front of the Russian Embassy in Berlin, Germany.

Large crowds gathered to protest the war on Ukraine at the Palace of Culture and Science in Warsaw last night ahead of President Bidens arrival. Its not very often that I am so moved to tears, but last night definitely did. 🇺🇦

You may recall that I mentioned that I have a flickr friend in Ukraine. I asked him shortly before the Russian invasion if I could help him to get out, or help Ukraine to prepare for the war. He said he didn't want to leave his country, and would fight the invaders if war broke out. He suggested that I donate money to savelife.in.ua (also known as Comebackalive.in.ua).
So I made a couple of donations before Russia actually launched the brutal war against Ukraine.

A crowd of about two hundred gathered outside Downing Street in central London to protest against the lack of any resolute Western action to secure a ceasefire in Aleppo or to prevent the continued bombing of civilians in East Aleppo by Russian and Syrian aircraft.
They piled teddy bears on the pavement to symbolize the huge number of child casualties and delivered a letter to Prime Minister Theresa May demanding action to halt the conflict and the suffering of 100,000 children who remain besieged in the city.
The previous day Zeid Al Hussein, the UN high commissioner for human rights, had called the siege and bombardment of Eastern Aleppo "crimes of historic proportions."
Opposition activists in Aleppo have reported that Russian aircraft have persistently targeted hospitals and other civilian targets along with the continued use of barrel bombs by the Syrian airforce as Syria's tyrant Assad vowed to "clean" the city.
Only 35 doctors and 11 ambulances remain to treat 250,000 people trapped in a war zone.
There has also been criticism of American and British air strikes but some distance from Aleppo itself in other areas of Syria with an estimate of between 500 and 700 civilians killed as of April 2016 reported by the website Airwars and the United States admitting that its rules regarding colateral civilian damage are even laxer than those used in drone strikes ( Economist 4th October 2014 - "Unintended Consequences: Are US Airstrikes creating a Sunni backlash" ).
However the number of casualties from Russian air strikes appears to be much higher with claims of up to 8,479 non-combatants reportedly killed as of 11th October 2016 according to the monitoring website Airwars.
