Stumbled upon this stop sign while walking to campus one day. Definitely a good question to ask yourself.

View On Black

Today we rallied outside of Philadelphia’s ICE office to let them know we will not stand for their anti-black criminalization and destruction of our communities. Let’s bring Christian home!!! Help us make sure our voices our heard by tweeting:

@sec_mayorkas

Our comrade @vamos_juntos_ has been supporting Christian and his family over the last three years to stop his unjust deportation. After dropping his children off at school last week, Christian was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents as he returned home. He was immediately taken to Moshannon Valley Detention Center and has since been transferred to other detention centers to be deported, even though he has been a resident for 20 years. If deported, Christian would leave his wife and young children, all of whom are US citizens. We need to halt Christian’s deportation immediately so that we can advocate for his release and get him home to his family.

Join Juntos and VietLead for a phone zap next Tuesday, May 2nd to demand that ICE officials release Christian and stop his deportation immediately! During the hour-long zoom call, we will walk you through the toolkit and support you in making calls to different ICE officials. Can't make the phone zap? Take 5 minutes out of your day to contact ICE officials using the #KeepChristianHome toolkit!

Alongside the informal Council meeting on September 22 & 23 2016, activists from 14 countries have gathered in Bratislava to show their opposition to CETA and TTIP, calling both of them Trojan Horse Treaties. On Friday morning, 300 protesters met on the square in front of the Philarmonie, the venue where the ministers were meeting.

From the video shoot earlier this week. Taken with my Canon 1D (Mark I)

This is a short stop-motion animated video I made in high school (I think in 2003). I made the music as well. I found this video file on a hard drive that I hadn't looked at for a while, so I thought I'd upload it.

Today I got a good discount on a Sony 85mm GM lens but in low light conditions it is making a grinding noise at F16 so I have to return it tomorrow. I was aware that this was a reported issue when the lens was originally introduced but I thought that the problem had been resolved.

I live in Taranto, a city in the south-east of Italy. I took this picture while a manifestation against pollution in my city.

READ PLEASE. IT'S IMPORTANT:

" As a consequence of the poisons discharged into the air by the factories on its territory, Taranto is the most polluted city in Italy and western Europe. As a matter of fact, only 7% of Taranto's pollution is inhabitants-related: 93% is factories-related.

Every year each of the Taranto's inhabitants inhales 2.7 carbon monoxide tons and 57.7 carbon dioxide tons. The latest data provided by the INES, the Italian national institute of emissions and their sources (Inventario nazionale delle emissioni e loro sorgenti), confirm that Taranto stands comparison with the Chinese Linfen and the Romanian Copşa Mică, the most polluted cities in the world due to factories' emissions.

In particular, Taranto has dioxin. 92% of the Italian dioxin is produced there and, in other terms, 8.8% of the European one. In ten years, leukaemias, myelomas and lymphomas increased by 30-40%. Furthermore, the dioxin accumulates over the years: so far at least 9 kilos of dioxin have been discharged into Taranto's air by its factories, i.e. three times the quantity discharged in the Seveso disaster (the one in 1976 where the Italian city Seveso was contaminated by dioxin)."

Stop Action 8/27/2015

I spent all weekend in Stockholm, shooting with my old DSLR, and trying to remember how it worked. Most photos came out too dark, blurry, and weird, but I kind of like them that way.

I could have made hundreds of photos, but that was too much for me. It was huge and perhaps the largest demonstration I ever saw parading through the city (an estimated 7000 participants!)
