On a recent vacation I found some brightly colored stools resting against a bar in the high rise hotel area of Aruba. I assume the stools are tipped to signify that the bar is closed and also to make cleaning easier. Regardless, the stools made for an interesting composition and the bright yellow was hard to pass up.

I painted this wooden stool with my original ladybug design. It was in my daughter's school auction.
Beautiful stools combine form and function unusually well. The tripod base makes them very stable even though they are adjustable, and the look is fabulous.

I had to step into the garage before heading out on my Thursday Walk, and I was so taken by the light that I fired off a couple of frames. Which was both clever and foolish. Clever because I rather like this shot, and foolish because I didn't bother to check the battery -- so my little X10 went toes up while I was framing the first photo taken on the walk.
