Tantalised by the flickr challenge with geometric photos. I thought I'd have a go. One thing led to another and soon I was playing with shapes and sunlight. Even with poor health I think it important occasionally to let creativity take precedent over expedience and of course I overdid it. Just now I feel perhaps a little similar to s/he with a hangover who is saying, 'I will never drink so much again.'

Thank you so much for sharing your quality photos which is a great way to see and keep some sort of touch with the world from home. Also for your kind comments and favours which are much valued.

Setup: Promaster manual flash (recommended by Strobist) on stand firing through a translucent panel with a silver reflector on the left used as a fill. The flash was triggered with a phottix system. My pal Chuy was a great poser

Toad Stool!

The recent rains has brought an added attraction to the gardens. Now if we just had a toad to sit on his stool.

It's amazing that this bit of creation appears and is gone in just a very short time, kind of like our lives. But one thing that just might last longer and it is the influence that we have in the lives of others. It just might last forever, so use your influence wisely.

Another view of some brightly colored stools I found resting against a bar in the high rise hotel area of Aruba while on a recent vacation. The stools made for an interesting composition while the bright yellow and rich wood tone was hard to pass up.

I finished the cover for the ugly rattan stool I bought years ago at IKEA.

I actually wanted to pretend that die Hase (or how we call her: the Hezlein) likes sitting on the stool but I have to admit that she just sat still because of the treat I gave her.
