June, 2011, St Mary's Park in the Bronx in NYC. A group of Congueros who meet regularly in the park led by percussionist and singer, Luis Antonio Rivera.

The sense of community and friendship that feeds this music is remarkable. This is part of a planned South Bronx series of images inspired by fond memories. of having lived in this area a looong time ago..... The South Bronx has a special place in my heart.
