Gangly heron with significant variation in plumage. Distinct dark morph is slate-gray with a white throat, while the palest morph is white with a yellow bill and lores. Pale gray intermediate morphs can also be found. Little Egret can look similar, but it has a darker bill than the white morph of the Western Reef-Heron. Primarily a coastal inhabitant, foraging on shorelines and in estuaries, but can also be found at some inland water bodies. (eBird)

There were four adults at the wetland. Perhaps parents to the young bird posted here?

This sharply attired black-and-white starling has a pointed yellowish bill with an orange base. Mainly black upperparts with white belly and white rump noticeable in flight. Note the bare, deep orange patch around its eye that contrasts with its white cheek. Easternmost birds have a white, streaked forehead. Seen in loose flocks close to human habitation feeding on human refuse. Garbage dumps, damp grazing lands, and well-watered parks are its favoured haunts. Noisy with a variety of calls that includes mimicked sounds of other birds. (eBird)

As we were getting organized to start the morning's birding, this lovely starling flew into the trees along the highway and sang briefly. A great start to Dubai birding.

Distributed from Africa and southern Europe through West Asia to South Asia. Very large, with long, "coat hanger" neck, big kinked bill, and very long pinkish legs. Plumage at rest whitish with pale pink blush and some deep pink often visible on closed wings. Flies with long neck and legs extended, when deep pink-and-black wing pattern striking. (eBird)

Oh, those awkward teenage months. This young flamingo is all long, spindly legs and knobbly knees. I didn't see another flamingo in such an exaggerated stance.

What a cool scene I sensed here as I turned the corner first. As always, the people were helpful and so very nice. Many are rather curious, or let's put it this way, they pretend to be curious. (¬‿¬)
The composition was already clear to me, as I had already been here the day before and was able to memorize my position well. This photo is perhaps a little more sombre, but on closer inspection, the joy and colors here have by no means disappeared. Because these details, joy and color will always be part of my photos.
I love her art Hania Rani so young and so talented. The song Glass the video ♫ was recorded in Berlin and many sequences were shot in the district where I grew up. Speaking of Berlin, I may soon have something completely new from Berlin in terms of photography. But will that be something for Flickr? I'm not sure yet. Anyway, I won't have much time to share photos anytime soon, but I'll try to keep an eye on your excellent work.

An unexpected portrait of a beautiful lady working at the construction of the Myanmar Aquariums... Looking forward to see them in the future! Kantawgyi Garden, Yangon, Myanmar
Found this cicada walking around after a rainstorm. Taken on a Canon EOS 6D Mark II with the EF 50mm f/1.8 STM and 12, 20, and 36mm extension tubes. I wanted to do a focus stack, and even had the camera on a tripod with the macro slide in place, but the cicada began to get fidgety so it was not to be. I still like this picture though.
If you view it full resolution you can even see the compound eye segments. :-)
