les sièges de l'église St Joseph du Havre, que l'on s'attendrait plus à trouver dans une vielle salle de cinéma que dans une église

St. Joseph, MO.
When George Glore first devised it, this was part of St. Joseph State Hospital. Now it sits in a building of its own, using props and dioramas to portray some of the less enlightened ways mental patients were treated in days of yore. But the best part (aside from the gift shop) is the art made by patients and an incredible tapestry of swallowable items removed from one poor girl’s stomach—over 1400! (thanks rvrr)
A small group of boats gathered to enjoy a warm sunset. I'm sure there were many more watching from shore.
From a recent trip for a wedding. Who knows, I may even get time to upload another before the year ends...

Nah, I don't either. This is my attempt to shoot the CSX OCS as it crosses the drawbridge at St Joseph, Mi on its way to Grand Rapids. Missed it by "that much" to quote Maxwell Smart. Actually, it was by less than 10 minutes. We had been told that the train would leave Barr Yard at 0600, but it departed at 0500 instead. I remember while dispatching CSX at Calumet City how much confusion there was between CSX time and regular Central Daylight Time. I thought I had verified that the time was CDT and not CSX time, but somewhere along the line the ball got dropped, again. At least it was a nice morning in St Joe's; only wish I hadn't gotten out of bed at 0400 to enjoy it. And after being retired 11 years off CSX, the time confusion still haunts me.

St Joseph's Oratory in Montreal, Canada, is an impressive sight. I just returned from Montreal today and it is fantastic city! Special thanks to my good friend Nino for showing me around his amazing city while I was there.

This is the most interesting church I saw all winter, in a town that is very small. It looks very much like many Catholic churches in Quebec and Saskatchewan except for the yellow stone it is built with. St Joseph Church, Damar, Kansas, USA. 2 March 2024
