La fontana dell'Organo idraulico deve il suo nome al meccanismo ad acqua presente al suo interno, che faceva sì che si udissero dei motivi d'organo. Costruita fra il 1568 e il 1611, è formata da un alto edificio di stile che prelude al barocco.
Piazza Cavour rappresenta il centro monumentale e cittadino.
Da un lato, negozi e caffè, dall'altro si schierano solenni palazzi, considerati tra i maggiori della città : Palazzo Garampi (oggi sede del Comune), Palazzo dell'Arengo (espressione del medioevo riminese), Palazzo del Podestà .
E, in fondo alla piazza, si erge il bellissimo Teatro Comunale, in stile neoclassico, inaugurato nel 1857 da Giuseppe Verdi. Attualmente è il teatro della città intitolato ad Amintore Galli.
In mezzo alla piazza trovano posto anche la statua di Paolo V e la Fontana della Pigna.

Schloss Neuhaus
Auf einem Felsmassiv im Inn, war Schloss Neuhaus bis 2011 ein Institut der Englischen Fräulein. Im 14. Jahrhundert von den bayr. Herzögen zum Schutz der Innbrücke von Schärding auf einem Felsen erbaut. 1750-52 Umbau des heute ältesten Teils. Der Münchner Baumeister Johann Michael Fischer nahm die Umgestaltung im Stil des Rokoko vor.
Es fand im Laufe der Zeit ein häufiger Besitzerwechsel statt. 1859 konnte das Institut der Englischen Fräulein von Burghausen für 9000 Gulden von Fürstin Auguste v. Auersperg das Schloss erwerben und die erste Tochtergründung etablieren. Im Kloster wurde ein Institut errrichtet.
Durch die steigende Schülerinnenanzahl wurde ein Erweiterungsbau notwendig, der dem barocken Bau des Schlosses angeglichen wurde. Zwischen Alt- und Neubau wurde von 1902/1903 vom Münchner Architketen J. B. Schott unter der Leitung des Sulzbacher Baumeisters Capellaro eine kunstvoll ausgestaltete Barokkirche, die bis 1974 Pfarrkirche war, errichtet.
Heute befindet sich in den Räumen eine Realschule für Mädchen und Jungen.
Neuhaus Castle
Until 2011, Neuhaus Castle was an institute of the English Miss on a rock massif in the Inn. In the 14th century by the Bavarian Dukes built on a rock to protect the Schärding Inn Bridge. 1750-52 Remodeling of the oldest part today. The Munich master builder Johann Michael Fischer carried out the redesign in the Rococo style.
There was a frequent change of ownership over time. In 1859, the Institute of the English Miss von Burghausen for 9000 guilders from Princess Auguste v. Auersperg acquire the castle and establish the first subsidiary. An institute was built in the monastery.
Due to the increasing number of students, an extension was necessary, which was adapted to the baroque construction of the castle. Between 1902/1903 the Munich architect J. B. Schott, under the direction of the Sulzbach master builder Capellaro, built an artistically designed Baroque church, which was a parish church until 1974, between the old and the new building.
Today there is a junior high school for girls and boys in the rooms.
Becán ist eine archäologische Stätte und vormaliges Zentrum der Maya der präklassischen Periode. Sie befindet sich im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Campeche, im Zentrum der Yucatán-Halbinsel, 150 Kilometer nördlich von Tikal.
Der Name Becán bedeutet in Mayathan „Schlucht, von Wasser geformt“ und bezieht sich auf den umgebenden Graben, der einzigartig für eine Maya-Stätte ist. Becán, das im Rio-Bec-Stil erbaut ist, war ein regionales religiöses und politisches Zentrum der Maya. Die ersten Nachweise menschlicher Besiedelung gehen ins Jahr 600 v. Chr. zurück. Die Blütezeit der Stadt war jedoch in den Jahren 600–1000, bewohnt war die Stadt bis etwa 1250.
Die Stadt ist von einem Graben umgeben, der an sieben Stellen unterbrochen war. Er war damit kein wirksames militärisches Hindernis, oder wurde nicht als solches fertiggestellt.

Becan is located near the center of the Yucatán Peninsula, in the present-day Mexican state of Campeche,Archaeological evidence shows that Becan was occupied in the middle Preclassic Maya period, about 550 BCE, and grew to a major population and ceremonial center a few hundred years later in the late Preclassic.
Wolfenbüttel/Lowersaxony GER
Das Zeughaus ist ein historisches Gebäude in der niedersächsischen Stadt Wolfenbüttel. Es wurde zwischen 1613 und 1619 (nach anderen Quellen 1617 oder 1618) als Kaserne und Lagerstätte für Kriegsgerät im Stil der Spätrenaissance erbaut. Das Gebäude steht in unmittelbarer Nähe des Schlosses Wolfenbüttel und befand sich ursprünglich innerhalb des Festungsringes der „Dammfestung“. Das Zeughaus ist heute ein wesentlicher Bestandteil des Architekturensembles des Wolfenbütteler Schlossplatzes und gilt als einer der größten Renaissancebauten Norddeutschlands.

Friedrichswerdersche Kirche
Die Friedrichswerdersche Kirche ist ein Baudenkmal am Werderschen Markt im Berliner Ortsteil Mitte. Erbaut im Auftrag des preußischen Kronprinzen Friedrich Wilhelm in den Jahren 1824–1831 von Karl Friedrich Schinkel im Stil der Neogotik, fand sie als erster repräsentativer Ziegelbau seit dem Mittelalter schon damals große Beachtung.
Friedrichswerder Church
The Friedrichswerder Church is a monument on Werderscher Markt in Berlin's Mitte district. Built on behalf of the Prussian Crown Prince Friedrich Wilhelm in the years 1824-1831 by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the Neo-Gothic style, it attracted a great deal of attention as the first representative brick building since the Middle Ages.
Das auf ein Jagdhaus des 16. Jahrhunderts zurückgehende Jagdschloss erhielt seine heutige Gestalt im 18. Jahrhundert unter August dem Starken.
In den Jahren 1542–1546 ließ Herzog Moritz sein Jagdhaus mit Jagdtrophäen im Stil der Renaissance ausstatten. Nach ihm benannte man später das Schloss, der ursprüngliche Name war Dianenburg. Schon das damalige Jagdhaus bestand aus vier dicken Rundtürmen, die mit einer umlaufenden Wehrmauer verbunden waren.

Se penso alla particolarità per nulla italiana di avere una linea aperta solo per i treni merci ecco che in un attimo mi accorgo di essermi svegliato perchè il sogno è già finito.
Ai tempi della foto avevano appena reintrodotto i Minuetti da Savigliano a Saluzzo ed ecco che ora almeno questo tratto di linea rimane aperto solo per i passeggeri, questo si che è in perfetto stile nostrano.
Das historische Jeddah (UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe) zeigt noch die traditionelle Architektur, die einst in Städten an beiden Küsten des Roten Meeres üblich war und von der ausserhalb Saudi-Arabiens nur noch wenige Überreste erhalten sind. Der Stil zeichnet sich durch die imposanten Turmhäuser aus, die mit grossen hölzernen Roshan-Fenstererkern (Maschrabbiya) verziert sind und im späten 19. Jahrhundert von den Handelseliten der Stadt gebaut wurden, sowie durch niedrigere Korallensteinhäuser, Moscheen, Ribat-s, Suqs und kleine öffentliche Plätze, die zusammen einen lebendigen Raum bilden. Seit der 3. Kalif Othman ibn Affan Jeddah im 7. Jahrhundert n. Chr. zum offiziellen Hafen von Mekka machte, galt dieses für muslimische Pilger als « Tor nach Mekka » (Quelle: whc.unesco.org).
Historic Jeddah (UNESCO world heritage site) is an outstanding reflection of the Red sea architectural tradition, a construction style once common to cities on both coasts of the Red sea, of which only scant vestiges are preserved outside the kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the nominated property. The style is characterized by the imposing tower houses decorated by large wooden Roshan (mashrabiya) built in the late 19th century by the city`s mercantile elites, and also by lower coral stone houses, mosques, ribat-s, suqs and small public squares that together compose a vibrant space. Historic Jeddah had a symbolic role as a gate to Makkah for Muslim pilgrims since the 7th century AH when the 3rd Caliph Othman ibn Affan made it the official port of Makkah (source: whc.unesco.org).

Die gotische Vorgängerkirche steckt in den Fundamenten und im Mauerwerk dieses spätbarocken Sakralraumes, der 1763 - 74 von Johann Peter Weber in einem aufgeräumten, späten, nicht mehr dem Rokoko zugewandten Stil erbaut wurde.
Die Formen sind nicht mehr verspielt, sondern ruhig und klar.
Die Fresken von Johann Baptist Enderle sind von Waldemar Kolmsperger 1905 neobarock übergangen worden. Trotzdem
ist die Raumwirkung der Kirche mit der Kuppel sehr vornehm.
