The lighthouse is in the area of the island which is the most Southerly part of Wales.
I wish I'd ask how they got the heavy equipment, needed for the work on lighthouse, up from boat. It's a quite a stiff climb up many steps

The common sandpiper is a smallish wader with contrasting brown upperparts and white underparts. It habitually bobs up and down, known as 'teetering', and has a distinctive flight with stiff, bowed wings. Its presence is often betrayed by its three-note call which it gives as it flies off.
Cabbage White butterfly sipping nectar from a Meadow Garlic flower. It takes a strong butterfly to find an attraction to the strong fragrance of this curious plant.

The thing is called a "Kesselbrücke", works basically like a Schnabel car on a railway, the main difference is that the load is vertically adjustable to pass over or under obstacles. Another difference - the load is placed on a dedicated platform between the two halves of the vehicle, therefore the load does not need to have the mechanical stiffness to bear its own weight (loads on Schnabel cars must be stiff).
Total length is 96 m, it has total 34 axles (count them if you wish...).
The load is a 210 t heavy gas turbine for the Heizkraftwerk Süd power station in the south of Munich.

Commonly known as moth orchids, is a genus of about seventy species of orchids in the family orchid. Orchids in this genus are monopodial epiphytes or lithophytes with long, coarse roots, short, leafy stems and long-lasting, flat flowers arranged in a flowering stem that often branches near the end. Orchids in this genus are native to India, China, Southeast Asia, New Guinea and Australia with the majority in Indonesia and the Philippines. A few to many, small to large, long-lasting, flat, often fragrant flowers are arranged on erect to hanging racemes or panicles. The sepals and petals are free from and spread widely apart from each other. The lateral sepals are usually larger than the dorsal sepal and the petals much wider than the sepals. The labellum is joined stiffly to the column and has three lobes. The side lobes are erect and more or less parallel to each other and the middle lobe sometimes has a pair of appendages or antennae. 54107

Fire Flag Plume Moth (Sphenarches anisodactylus) (family Pterophoridae)
Only the second Plume Moth I have seen this year.I first spotted it on a Seaside Daisy in the breeze and then it flew to the grass. It was hanging on tightly in the stiff breeze.

Taken in Washington Park, Albany, NY, on a wildly foggy December day...when the fog stayed thick on the ground for hours and the birds called and gathered in the trees in such volumes that it felt the slightest bit eerie. The lack of snow and the heavy fog made me think it was warmer than it was. When I realized my hands were stiff and numb I retreated to my car and saw with great surprise it was only 32 degrees.
