A few days back, (I don't know when, I was working and I don't watch that crap) some ill informed television wenches apparently insulted all nurses by mocking Miss Colorado who is a registered nurse and rather uniquely represented her profession in a beauty pageant. Well nurses went crazy on social media, posting photographs of themselves with their stethescopes and generally bitching and gnashing teeth. A half hearted apology was rendered by the offending parties. Johnson & Johnson and another major sponsor of the television program pulled advertisement and I'll be damned if another rather pitiful apology was offered as well as an entire hour dedicated to the profession of nursing.
Whoop de do. Know what? I don't really give a damn. You can't change the way arrogant people think, although you may get them to stammer out an insincere apology. I don't have time for that crap. I'm to busy working, living and carrying on. And in my spare time, which is sparse, I am studying for an upcoming recertification of the ACLS protocol so I can save their unworthy asses when they start clutching their chests in fear and pain. I've already put in 42 hours in this weekend saving ignorant undeserving asses and if my pager goes off, I'll do it again.
So yeah, here's a photograph of me rocking my stethoscope and all the ignorant and arrogant people who want to denigrate me or what I do can kiss my ass. I'm going to bed.

So instead of the harrowing halls of Prison, here I am, serving community service at the Hogsmeade St Mungo's outreach! once again giving back to the community, darling, and thrusting my philanthropic presence into the desperate faces of all those full of malady and misery, with a stethoscope in one hand, darling, and my vintage handbag in the other. Mwah!

1928's Sound Mirrors built to detect German aircraft & Zeppelins
These three concrete " listening ears" range in size from 20 to 200 feet in size.
Built between 1928-30, the sound mirrors were part of Britain's national defence strategy. They were designed to pick up the sound of approaching enemy aircraft. Sound waves were caught in the belly of the mirror and relayed back through microphones and a stethoscope to an operator who raised the alarm. Anti-aircraft defences were then deployed. The mirrors effectively gave Britain a fifteen-minute warning of an impending attack.

*sigh* I'm frustrated with people to say the least.
Today was so-so.
I had a nice conversation with my Sensei via email today :)
I love emailing her at work. She's a cool woman. I've known her and Shihan (her husband and other instructor) 7 and a half years since I started.
I owe my life to them. That's why I do what I do.
I go everyday, teach when I'm needed and help out.

For this week's theme, I used a stethoscope. More precisely, the chest piece and bell of a stethoscope. As a reference, the little heart is 1 ¼” wide and 1” in height. I made sure the whole frame respects the 3” guideline.

Recently I was inspired by a pair of minifigure weapons, specifically the ring weapon from Black Panther, and the Rapier to create an old fashioned metal syringe, and that spiraled into the set of three MOCs presented here. The syringe is functional in as far as the pump can be drawn out and pushed back in.

I saw one of my older photos when I was a few years into my digital photography hobby and while I was still a medical student, where I photographed my kitlens and one of my first Littmann Classic II SE stethoscope, and it was entitled "When Passions Collide" (I did say COINCIDE in the photo's description), and I felt that I need to do an updated shot, this time with my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM lens and my Littmann Cardiology III stethoscope that I purchased when I became a full fledged physician back in 2016.
Plus, this gives me yet another reason to practice more off shoe flash photography with 2 external flashes as I am more adept with using only 1 external flash.

*Ah yes, and since people have already started asking how the pills were attached, there are two methods we use. 1 is ultra secret and awesome, and we haven't created a tutorial yet, and is really hard to explain... the other is flex tube stuffed into rubber flex tube or pneumatic hose.
It also seems us and Kos keep building similar things this month :P, as well as Gil from the last IB round . (his piece was better suited IMO.)
