This is the first photo I have of the whole process - basically, I had just decided at this point it would be fun to document what we were doing.
You can still see the chalk lines we put down that we hadn't painted over in pink yet. Also, you can see that we started with the wall orange/peach from before we started repainting.
From there I had put up tape for the diamonds which would remain peach. We also had gone ahead and painted the pink line straight over the center of the chalk lines, which would be the center of the green stripes.
In order to tape off the diamonds, I took some measurements and taped the first diamond. I then took the painters tape and layered it on top of itself so that the tape was the distance between the chalk line and the diamond. I made 8 of these tape layers so that I could use them to mark off where the corners of each diamond would be. Then I would tape the diamond and move these measuring tape layers to the next diamond.

Decide exactly what you intend to do with the second mural. Then change your mind repeatedly until you really have no concept of what’s going on. Finally revert to your initial plan and get some paint on the wall. There’s no turning back now.

Hurray! Here it is! Part 3 of my step-by-step guide to covering your journal over on this chicken's blog.
The bottom part of plastic bottles can be perfectly used as dessert bowls. Cut the bottom part of the bottle and use a candle to remove any imperfection (only burn the edge gently for one second). I used some Media Ink to decorate my party bowls. Use it to put fresh fruit salad with creamy custard. This craft idea is so simple and easy to make and very cheap.

According to Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia of Pieced Blocks, this was published as Cactus Pot by the Oklahoma Stockman's Journal on January 1, 1930 in a column which appeared in the Journal in the 20's and 30's called Good Cheer Quilt Patterns.
MATERIALS NEEDED
1. Body cap that fits your camera
2. Soda can for aluminum sheet
3. Silicone adhesive
4. Flat black paint / large sharpie marker
TOOLS NEEDED
1. Large sewing needle
2. 1/4" (apx) drill bit
3. Drill (optional)
4. Heavy duty scissors
5. Paper scissors
6. Tooth picks (or similar)
7. 600-800 grit sanding block/paper
8. Center punch (optional)
9. Tape (to hold aluminum while glue dries and mask body cap during painting)
