ive made an immage of freddie mercury which is made up of 11 different stencils . so far ive used acrylic paint with the stencils because i cant find enough varieties of pink spray paints in cork city

one of my fist stencils kindly supplied by Shubby - as you can see, didn't bother to do a test spray before the event, kind of like it with the concrete showing through.

When 347 went down Byron Hill they met a stack train headed south. I doubled back with a shot of them in "downtown" Lomira in mind but couldn't beat them there. The grab shot south of Lomira had horrid lighting and I haven't tried to resurrect it.
So I made my way back down to the Valley, no action. I then heard 347 departing so I zipped up to Van Dyne but missed them by a minute or two (no loss really, the old evening shot there is now totally grown in with trees). I made my way back to north Fondy but things are still pretty dead. A few detail shots were made while camping out at Subway Rd watching the good light fade.

"Stencil – Ein Blick in die Seitengassen" ist eine Street Art Ausstellung die Schablonen-Graffiti in Österreich thematisiert.
Von Herbst 2007 bis Sommer 2008 entstand das Diplomprojekt zum Thema Stencil.
Als Abschluss dieser Diplomarbeit findet nun die Ausstellung im Brick 5 statt. Sie repräsentiert die Auseinandersetzung der vier jungen Frauen mit dem Thema und stellt das entstandene Buch, eine Diashow sowie Fotos und Stencils vor.
Ziel des Projekts ist es, die negative Belastung von Graffiti zu minimieren und zu zeigen, dass Stencil-Art eine Kunst ist, der es zusteht in einem besonderen Rahmen, außerhalb von Kommerz oder Mainstream, betrachtet zu werden.
Eine Zusammenarbeit der Grafikerinnen Corinna Danninger und Marie Lichtenwagner und den Fotografinnen Stephanie Gindlstrasser und Katharina Mendl aus der Graphischen Wien.
