The Office of Professional and Career Development hosted their annual STEM Slam for students to network with employers and explore STEM careers Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Wake Downtown in Winston Salem, NC.
Some sandpaper glued onto wedges made the sharp angle a little easier to clamp and also protected the cedar strips.
On Sunday, August 20, 2017, Chargé d’Affairs Joel Reifman congratulated Bangladeshi STEM students who recently participated in a number of robotic and social media competitions at a reception event at the U.S. Ambassador’s residence. The reception was organized by the American Center Dhaka to honor participants including Bangladeshi Mars Rover teams from six different universities, the Robot Olympiad’s high school team, and Dhaka University’s team attending Peer 2 Peer (P2P): Facebook Global Digital Challenge in the USA.

From July 29 - Aug 2, ASAS Chicago hosted STEM CampUs at Illinois Institute of Technology. Sponsored by Teza Technologies, STEM CampUs focused on high school, college and career readiness, with a specific focus on entrepreneurship and the STEM fields.

Our luncheon was a special opportunity for two area schools: TC Williams STEM Academy in Alexandria, VA, and Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, MD. Booz Allen Principal Dr. Velma Deleveaux welcomed the students and shared her personal STEM journey. Students then had small group discussions with 25 Booz Allen STEM professionals who volunteered to support this event.
