Transmission of Biological Visualisation (ANTBV)

Above the southern parkland and located on Redcliffe Parade is Russell Anderson’s artwork entitled Apparatus for Non-Destructive Transmission of Biological Visualisation. The work is an interactive sculptural device presented as a popular street-side amusement.
Russell, a longtime Redcliffe local, has created a fictional nautical legend of what was once a real 19th century explorer vessel, shipwrecked in Moreton Bay. This device, salvaged from the wreck, contains the captive essence of a sea creature. Viewers are invited to turn a handle, generating power to view the sea-creature essence contained within and its projected image.
This sculpture tells the story of an imagined local history. ANTBV acts as a fictional appliance or device that evokes the past by using design elements from another era. As the only remaining invention of a fictional, early nineteenth century naturalist, this device is an interactive sculpture that explores local fauna on a whimsical level.

Materials: Big frosted glass marble, clarinet keys, electric motor parts, perfume atomizer, green freshwater pearl, vintage brass lamp finial, rifle scope adjustment dial, clock key, vintage brass drawer pull, vintage fishing reel side plate, metal wings from the hobby shop tumbled in rock tumbler, small bearing, brass electric switch parts, glass beads, nuts, bolts, steam, and aether.
Note: The big marble is suspended with a loose connection under the head of the perfume atomizer allowing it to pivot and swing "to and fro", so I guess it's a bit kinetic.
The continuing exploits of 'The Vampyre Valesca': an original steampunk character of my own devising and a 1/6 scale custom kitbash figure conceived and assembled by myself.

The Railway Preservation Society of Ireland ( RPSI ) "Enniscorthy rockin food festival " special from Connolly Station to Rosslare speeds through the Avoca Hills passing Woodenbridge.
The Iron Dreadnought (2018) - Soaring high in the skies is this steampunk warship I made based on a presentation I saw at Brickworld 2018. The two main rotors and the two engines on the side all spin with Power Functions! Trying to work with the pre-fab hulls I found as an interesting challenge to make work.
Villa Lora, Fermo (Italy) — one of the very first bodypaintings we photographed at our first event there.
A steampunk character carved from brass and shadows: part human, part machine, all attitude.
With gears on her corset and a skull of clockwork across her face, she leans into the villa’s worn elegance… and leaves the story unresolved.
Hero or villain? I’m not sure — and that’s the point.

美國的西部電影給予我很多創作的靈感，其中《牛仔與外星人》描述外星人綁架小孩子，當地黑幫與牛仔合力救出小孩。這電影給我很多有趣的想像，我想像這世界還有一位熱愛正義遊俠鳥，穿著皮製護甲，拿著復古的未來手槍，拯救人類。他不喜歡梳頭，熱愛大自然，頭頂的帽還養了香菇。
