....at "Steak Frites", the restaurant belonging to the guesthouse at 23 Love Lane in Georgetown, Penang. The white half-dome food covers are to keep flies away.
I used this recipe for the Béarnaise Sauce.
Instead of steak (Mrs. Wirehead doesn't eat beef), I used lamb steaks. And I made two sauces. One is the Béarnaise Sauce, the other is a pan sauce. And there's some onions and shallots on the side.
All the beef is from the owner's farm a few miles away.

Whittington & Cat is a place where people can eat, drink and sleep.
Built in the 1830s, the original name of the tavern was The Whittington Inn, because of Dick Whittington and his cat. Dick Whittington and his cat is the English folklore surrounding the real–life Richard Whittington, a wealthy merchant. The story goes he visited areas renting out his cat to cull the rising rat populations.

Pretty good but I think maybe the server misheard the medium rare as medium well due to my mask. Oh well.
I really like Café Presse and it may have been more than a decade since my prior visit.
The classic French comfort food, taken at Le Relais de l'Entrecote on Rue Marbeuf, our favorite restaurant for steak frites. Every time we go to Paris, we have to come here (sometimes twice in one visit)! The sauce is addictive. I've tried to replicate it and have come close, but no cigar.
