Exactly from the hermitage of Saint Sharbel that lies at an altitude of 1400 meters (4590 feet). The last photo in the comment shows the monastery of Saint Maron, a photo taken from the hermitage location.
I took these photos during my last visit to Lebanon in summer 2010. Unfortunately, It will be my only photo from Lebanon untill my next visit. All photos I made there have been lost or are mostly made for facebook :-(

Here the relics of St Charbel, St Rafka and St Nemetallah Al-Hardini in one casket, infact a Phoenician boat casket. Inside three boxes with bones of each of the Holy Saints.
The Maronite heritage, a racial heritage, is linked to the ancient land of Phoenicia. There are other heritages that Maronites have. One is the Phoenician heritage. The Phoenicians had a grand maritime fleet, and basically ruled the Mediterranean and so these relics are presented in a Phoenician boat.
The Address of the Pope Paul VI
Great today, is the gladness in heaven and earth for the Beatification of Charbel Makhlouf, Monk and Hermit of the Lebanese Maronite Order. Great is the joy of the East and West for this son of Lebanon, admirable flower of sanctity blowing on the stem of the ancient, monastic traditions of the East, and venerated today by the Church of Rome.
How can this joy but overflow first of all in the hearts of the sons of Saint Maroun? This is what is forcibly asserted by our venerable Brother, Cardinal Patriarch Paul Peter Meouchi, in profound words which we deeply appreciate. For the Maronite Order and for the Lebanese Catholics, this is indeed a great day. Likewise we are happy to greet at the same time the members of the delegation graciously representing the Lebanese Government on this occasion, as well as the other delegations. We are deeply moved by this delicate gesture and the presence of these personalities recalls vividly to our mind the warm welcome extended to us by the entire Lebanon. Without distinction of race or religion, at our stop in Beirut, on our way to Bombay. To all we extend our heartfelt thanks.
The large gathering of sons and daughters of the noble Lebanon - privileged "carrefour" and place of traditional encounters between Africa, Asia and Europe - near the glorious Tomb of Peter, underlines the importance of the act accomplished today by the Church. To the apostolic work, the Church must add centres of contemplative life where praise and intercession ascend to God in a perfumed fragrance.
These are, finally, the lessons derived from this ceremony for all. May Saint Charbel draw us after him along the path of sanctity, where silent prayer in the presence of God has its own particular place. May he make us understand, in a world largely fascinated by wealth and comfort, the paramount value of poverty, penance and asceticism, to liberate the soul in its ascent to God. The practice of these virtues is indeed different according to the various states of life and responsibilities of people. But no Christian can ignore them if he wants to follow Our Lord.
These are the noble lessons which Charbel Makhlouf so timely gives us. That they may be well understood and practiced. We implore upon all, through the intercession of this new Blessed. Already so venerated, an abundant effusion of graces; and paternally we bless you.

The Phoenicians had a grand maritime fleet, and basically ruled the Mediterranean and so these relics are presented in a Phoenician boat.
But these three saints in particular have all been known for their miracles. St Charbel himself appeared in a photograph in 1950 in the middle of a photograph of a group of monks at the monastery where he lived and died, there he was in the middle of the photographs 52 years after he had died. And that photograph is often reproduced in books. St Rafqa, through her many people have been healed, even of blindness, and St Nemetallah, there was even a young baby boy who had died, who was placed on his tomb, who came back to life, and if I’m not mistaken it was a Druze woman who had placed this dead son of hers on the tomb of St Nemetallah and he had come back to life.
While taking my better half to work in Greenacer, one has to drive through suburbs like Bankstown and Punchbowl. One passes a nice modern day looking church that I thought could have been Greek Orthodox. Had a little time to explore and thought I would take a few images of the Church. Was more than surprised to learn that I was wrong in my assumption.
The suburbs mentioned have a very strong Lebanese community. And to further my amazement at how little I know about the thriving communities. Across the road is St Demiana & and St Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church. The Church consisting of Egyptian Christian faith.
On this bracelet I added some gorgeous lampwork beads that I found at the bead show to adorn the Catholic Medals. I also addes some roses associated to Our Blessed Mother.
I created this bracelet with a Mother Teresa Relic medal and it's loaded with lampwork beads and other Catholic Medals

Charbel was a pagan priest in Edessa. He was then converted to Christianity with his sister Barabia and martyred in the days of Emperor Disios (236-250 A.D).
The church was built over an old pagan temple ruins. It was first a Byzantine church. The Crusades built it again in the 12th century. Renovations took place at the end of the 19th century.
As one enters the Church, he'll find a nartex with some artifacts. The church is built in a basilical form, divided into two rows of arches. Some of the tiles along with a circular well belong to a roman temple. Some decorative elements that date back to the Ottoman period fill the main vault.
The main apse belongs to the old church, and it contains a fresco depicting a bishop surrounded by Saints Peter and Paul and the four Evangelists.

The expectation that the world would be hearing more of Charbel was soon fulfilled: his grave was immediately surrounded by an "extraordinary brightness", according to a booklet produced by the Monastery about its most famous son. The light only finally faded after 45 days, unlike public interest which continued to wax brightly: pilgrims even tried to steal pieces of his remains, which gave the authorities a reason to open the grave. The body was found floating in mud but was itself completely free from signs of deterioration "as if it had been buried that same day." It was noticed that a "blood-like liquid" exuded from the body's a phenomenon which can still be seen even now. The liquid is caught in a cloth and, according to the Monastery, has over the years been responsible for many cases of healing.
In this century his grave has been opened four times, the last time being in 1955, and each time "it has been noticed that his bleeding body still has its flexibility as if it were alive".

In 1954, Pope Pius XII signed a decree accepting a proposal for the beatification of Charbel Makhlouf, the hermit. On December 5, 1965, Pope Paul VI officiated at the ceremony of the beatification of Father Sharbel during the closing of the Second Vatican Council. In 1976, Pope Paul VI signed a decree of canonization of Blessed Charbel. That canonization took place in the Vatican on October 9, 1977.
Would the large statue of St. Charbel fit in the cable car cabin and then in the taxi? Mum, where would you put it?
