The rally's continue in York, PA, and the message is getting heard, as Shareef Hameed used an analogy of NBA star Steph Curry pulling up for a 3 pointer to encourage people to gather at Penn Park for another protest to give people a chance to speak their mind. They would also peacefully take their voice to the street and walk west to the Salem Square area. Rick "Beetle" Bailey of #bbphotographer58 and #My4one2 made a point of being at the Park to bring you the latest happening at Penn Park. #StayActive #RuLockedIN to #LockedINMagazine #GetLockedIN.

Festival goers got a taste of some old school funk, when the Parliament Arts Organization, situated in the Royal Square District of York, PA, brought George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic to the Queen Street stage on Saturday, September 11th, 2021. Although George Clinton was the highlight of the day, two other stages provided a variety of music for people of all ages and music persuasion. For most, music is a central part of everyone’s life. People come together in the city to enjoy what other musical artist have to offer throughout the York community. That is an important component of any community, and to think this is a great example of what The Parliament Arts Organization did with King Street Jam.

The Susquehannock Warrior High School boys lacrosse team suffered a defeat at home in a game against Dallastown Wildcats. The visitors proved to be too strong for the Warriors and won the match 11-6. Despite giving their best efforts, the Warriors now 9-2 and drop to third place in league play, were unable to keep up with the Wildcats, who dominated the game and sitting in first place with a 11-0 record in York/Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association Boys High School Lacrosse . The loss is definitely a setback for the Warrior team, but they will surely regroup and bounce back stronger in upcoming games looking towaeds PIAA District III playoffs.

After being parked for a few years because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 37th annual event became a reality for the many voluneers who organized it and the community who saw it. The parade stepped off at 1 p.m. from Market and Penn Streets (in front of the Market & Penn Farmers Market), proceeding east on Market to Duke. Approximately 100 entries took part in this annual celebration of Celtic heritage, including bands, Irish dance groups, floats, antique and decorated vehicles, clowns, individuals and family groups, organizations, and media entries. Besides the parade many enjoyed entertainment, Irish dance performances, children’s activities, and merchant promotions at many locations before and after the parade.

If you do not live on the east or west coast and the temps soar into the 90's, what do you do? You grab your favorite floatation device, a couple of friends, drinks, snacks, and head to the nearest creek. It seems that a lot of folks around this area already have those items at there disposal, and all they needed was a reason. Thus the event "Swatty Float" was created by Triston Vinson and Shaun Caraby and was held July 26th, 2020. Staying high and dry, Rick "Beetle" Bailey of #bbphotographer58 and #My4one2 wondered around the launching site and up on the bridge to get some photos of people having the time of their life. #StayActive #RuLockedIN #LockedINMagazine #GetLockedIN

It has been roughly a year since some high school boys and girls stepped on a playing field to compete athletically because of Covid-19 pandemic in 2019 shut down practically all of spring high school sports. This week we saw a few schools in the York/Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) take to thier respective fields and give the student athletes a chance to show that they still have the competitive spirit to play ball. With a few fans in the stands for both teams, Conestoga Valley girls softball team stepped off the bus at Dallastown Area High School softball field and came ready to play. LockedIN Magazine photographer Rick "Beetle" Bailey of #bbphotographer58 and #My412 checked out the play on the diamond and got our fans some nice pics of the action.

Melky Mesa set a franchise record for career RBI on a go-ahead single in the fifth that proved to be the difference as the York Revolution edged the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, 5-4 on Saturday night at PeoplesBank Park. Sam Burton made his first start with the Revs since 2019 on Saturday and the York bullpen shined with a scoreless night over a combined 5.1 innings as the Revs took home back-to-back victories for the first time since August 24-25 against the playoff bound Crabs. It must have been the extra cheering going on in the stands and between innings by local high school cheerleading groups that helped the Rev's secure the win.
