Static-X is an American Industrial Metal band formed in 1994.
My favourite scenes of the Ironman-Movies are the in-helmet-sequences (hud).
So i had to try it on my self with photshop and illustrator. In all the hours of work i had some help from Sybreed, Static-x and Fear Factory.
This music gave me the right atmosphere.

When a creator listens, you show up. Gloom has just re-released their incredible Omega Skin, now expanded with a range of much-needed deeper tones. This is a huge win, and the quality is, as always, flawless.
Paired it with the brand new StaticX Hair from TRASH, which is an absolute must-grab from the current ManCave round.
The whole look is built on a foundation of sharp, edgy pieces from some of my favorite creators like AEONE, CruElle, and La Boutique.

Quase cinco da manhã, sem ter nada pra fazer e sem sono, saiu essa foto... Não, o fone não é do iPod, o original já era =p

Most people don't even recognize the existence of industrial rock in the millennium but it was there! Though formerly experimental with disco music and punk rock it truly developed in the mid 80's as hardcore punk rock experimented with machinery (oil drums with metal short poles for drums and recorded in an industrial factory) to create industrial music. They saw heavy metal's biggest problem as throwing out the best riff that only comes 'once' and never heard again, this inspired industrial metal which was developed by the late 80's. The one that earned the most recognition though was industrial metal who submitted their music to major films such as Mortal Kombat, The Crow, Dark City and even more famous The Matrix. Some beliefs rumor that Harris and Klebold got their trench coat idea from the lobby scene of the matrix which is in fact the greatest highlight in the movie next to Neo's incredible bullet evading maneuvers. Industrial music kept meeting call outs for school violence and bearing controversial met with violent imagery. The stylistic idea of Industrial music was to be an on stage statement making display of tyranny, communism, anti-semitism, racism, greed and hate crime violence. It is noted for being controversial at all times, it is also known for industrial aesthetic such as leather, thick fabrics, sunglasses, goggles, respirators, black beaters and stomp boots. Other aesthetics are generally military or riot police or controversial imagery stuff like cargo pants, a duster with a swaztika patch, a suit with a USSR flag, a neo-nazi flag and even a black panther flag or a liberal flag if they are neo-rebel industrial rockers. They created their music to counter corperate greed and to make the public aware of evil factions seeking to control people. Regardless the controversy and the amount of anger the music has spawned it gained a public radio spotlight by 2000, bands such as Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Nine Inch Nails, Kidney Thieves, Static-X, Powerman 5000 and Orgy were the major spotlights of the scene. The Matrix helped to lunge its popularity and recognition to teens everywhere, Wayne (Static-X fame) created a new rock'n'roll rebellion at the changing of the millennium. Movies such as The Equilibrium, Pitch Black, The Matrix Trilogy and the first Underworld kept it going, but by 2004 the scene met trouble with the courts on accounts of high school shootings so most of the bands withdrew trying to avoid facing large law issued fines for unintentionally causing troubled teens to become violent; of course most of the teen rebels grew up and moved on leaving the scene in the dust. 2004 officially ended the scene's reign, the genre remains thoroughly underground respite the scene and still manages to gain new audiences. Some believed Hot Topic had clothing that counted as industrial but it was later denied because rivetheads (members of industrial culture) called it staunch capitolism and all those supposed rivetheads buying their aesthetics there were Drones (poser rivetheads). Rivethead is the name given because of the members often wearing rivets in their hair. Industrial culture is half-wit anarchy but detests of communism. Most Rivetheads were glad that Emo culture took over the rock scene because they grew tired of being blamed for the mishaps of the psychologically unstable fans of theirs. Still now they recieve reports of teens gone slaughter mode because they somehow 'worshipped industrial music' but the band heads denied encouraging such stuff since they lecture their kids about refraining any kind of violence. Industrial rock has a future but not in the mainstream!
I really, really love www.last.fm/user/jonanamary/. Its charts appeal to my inner geek.
I made a Top 30 albums list back in June, and thought it would be fun to do it again. Last has removed the full-album cover chart view option :( so this involved a bit of cutting and pasting in Paint. Shudder.
Of the above, Last got me listening to Strapping Young Lad, Children Of Bodom, Lamb Of God, In Flames, Meshuggah, Slayer, and Killswitch Engage. Some of these bands had been recommended to me previously by friends but it was hearing certain songs on Last that prompted me to go out and buy their albums. I'm going to go and see various of the bands listed later this year, too - cannot wait. :) It's bad news for my credit card bill, but after years of not really buying much music, It's great to find new stuff.
OK, enough eulogising.
In conclusion: ROCK ON! \m/ -_- \m/
