Two State Troopers stand together in Washington D.C. during National Police Week 2012.
Mardela Springs Stn 9, Hebron Stn 5 and Sharptown Stn 14 units on-scene of a vehicle collision at the intersection of US50 and SR54 in Mardela Springs, Maryland. The call was initially believed to involve entrapment, which brought a rescue assist from Hebron and Sharptown. Ambulances from these 3 fire departments also transported 5 patients to the trauma center.
A beautiful refinished Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) Ford CVPI at the Turkey Lake service station FHP building near Orlando, Florida. This unit was one of two at the station, and is was formerly a blue and white FDOT commercial enforcement vehicle, but the department was merged with FHP in 2011, saving the state $1.3m, and all 267 of the officers became CVE troopers.

A Ford F-150 of the Florida Highway Patrol located at the turnpike headquarters near Lake Worth in Palm Beach County, Florida. The truck is an extremely rare unit, being one of, at most, three or four in the entire state of Florida. The vehicle has all blue lighting and was refitted after the FDOT's commercial vehicle enforcement subdivision was assimilated into the FHP and the officers became state troopers. My guess is that the vehicle would contain a scale in the bed or the standard gear the rest of the troopers' vehicles carry.

A Ford F-150 Police Responder of the Florida Highway Patrol at the funeral of Green Cove Springs Police Chief Derek Asdot in Orange Park, Florida. Chief Asdot tragically passed in late September 2021 after a battle with COVID-19. Very well-respected by his community, he joined the GCSPD in 2002, became Chief in 2017, and served as a DEA task force officer.

A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) 2018 Chevy Tahoe and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Ford Tactical Truck at the runway entrance to the NAS Jacksonville Blue Angels Air Show, Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. Numerous law enforcement agencies attended the event to keep everybody safe, including the Florida Highway Patrol, Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, U.S Customs and Border Protection, U.S Navy Police, U.S Navy Security Forces, and Georgia State Patrol.

An LAV, or Light Armored Vehicle, behind the Florida Highway Patrol's Troop D Headquarters in Orlando, Florida. Each major headquarters across the state has one of these vehicles stationed in it. These LAVs have been with the FHP for a long time, some as early as the 1980's.

May 26, 2020. Queen Anne's County EMS, Gransonville Fire Dept and Maryland State Police Trooper 6 at a hospital landing zone. Trooper 6 is transferring a trauma patient from Queenstown Emergency Center to Shock/Trauma in Baltimore.

A classic Maryland State Police Chevrolet Caprice sits parked in Washington D.C. during Police Week 2017.
A brand new Ford Police Interceptor Utility slicktop at the FHP's Troop D Headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The vehicle is the first of FHP's campaign to phase their classic all-blue front lighting setup back into their fleet. The upper deck lights, pushbar lights and front-facing hideaways are all bright blue as a homage to their early-2000's vehicle.

January 27, 2021. Station 74 Delmar units on-scene of a reported residential structure fire in Delmar, Delaware. Units arrived to find an electrical outlet scorched and smoking. Fire Dept and State Police units had been on a vehicle collision call in the area and responded to this incident. No fire, no injuries.

The Blues Brothers were back at this year's Doo Dah Parade. This time they have a new state trooper, and this year they debuted their mock-up Illinois State Police car. They posed for a picture in front of it for me -- in a somewhat appropriate manner.
