This ring started out as a vintage brooch before being upcycled into a glamorous over-sized cocktail ring.
I embroidered the brooch with lots of freshwater pearls, semi-precious stones, and glass beads in vivid shades of turquoise, teal, ultramarine blue, violet, pale green, and purple.
Several rhinestones, one teal colored and the other clear with an aurora borealis finish, catch the light, and create a dazzling effect- especially if the wearer is inclined to talk with her hands...

There are few things more satisfying than holding a brass rod under a butane torch until its almost pliable, and then twisting it into odd shapes with pliers, hammer and anvil.
I decided to turn this cathartic experiment with scrap metal into a cocktail ring adorned with Howlite chips, a Jasper bead, hematite and glass chips, freshwater pearls, and Swarovski Crystals. The base of the ring is made from thick silver-plated wire intertwined with brass.
Bonus feature: the ring looks great with MANY different shades of nail polish.

This ring is a size 7 statement maker. A knuckle-duster with a striking resemblance to that beautifully alien creature- the sea anemone.
The center point is a vintage button made up of prong-set white faceted stones. Part of the metal has developed a sea-foam green patina over time. I suppose some might think of this as a defect, but I especially like how it fits with the color scheme in the rest of the ring.
Oh, and this ring looks great with gold nail polish.

Huge, gorgeous rainbow moonstone and carnelian statement ring set in fine and sterling silver, oxidized and brushed for contrast and texture.
Statement artisan peridot and sterling silver ring. I carved the base shape in wax and had it cast in sterling. There is a texture to the vaguely tribal shape that initially is quite rough but I polished it to soften it and to a high shine. I soldered a sweet fresh green peridot gemstone to the center and added a square wire ring band.
Not only did my MIL give us the gift of date night, she also held the babe while I smithed and smithed and smithed.

The "leaf" was once a brooch, but I couldn't resist the urge to make it into a capacious hand ornament. The leaf is attached to the ring band by a wire-woven network of freshwater pearls, Swarovski Crystals and seed beads.

Isn't she a beauty? I've been so busy making wedding rings this month that I haven't had much time for these one-of-a-kind pieces. But I managed to sneak this one in.
A generously sized labradorite with all of the blue and green flashes you can imagine is set in a ring of sterling silver. It is a simple, streamlined look created entirely by hand by me. The band features a little streak of lightning for a nice little detail, echoing the flash of the stone. The setting has been oxidized and hand buffed to a soft, buttery gray to accentuate the lightning.
