Coral Reef - My first project for this year. My aim was to exercise my patience as I always want to finish everything I've started in the same day. This necklace took 16 hours to complete, and I've spent several evenings on it. It took forever to form the corals, to "age" them, pierce holes into them and varnish them! Let's see if I'll have enough patience for February...
I once had a dream that i was a tribal queen in my past live, so this is my dream manifesting itself into these lovely pieces of art.
This was created from my finds from Flea markets,
I made this faux wood pendant this morning. And to avoid any misunderstandings: I DON'T have any faux wood tutorials - I was just INSPIRED by the great work of Hillovely. So this is my very personal version of faux wood.
New mixed-media piece honoring some of my favorite art & literary folks. Professional photography by Seth Tice-Lewis.
Beach Walk 2 - Faux driftwood, faux beachglass, faux seashells and faux pebbles...

Crimson Poise Before the Garden Wall
A striking woman with flowing red hair stands confidently before an ornate floral wall, her dark, pleated dress shimmering under soft light. The deep V-neckline and statement necklace add a note of glamour, while her hands rest firmly on her hips in a pose of quiet command. The richly decorated backdrop—gold accents and blooming motifs—frames her like a living portrait, merging fashion, artistry, and timeless elegance.
Poem – "The Garden Holds Its Breath"
She stands where blossoms bloom in paint and gold,
a living ember against the wall’s quiet opulence.
Her hair—flame caught in the still air—
spills over the dark sheen of her dress,
each pleat a ripple of shadow and light.
The necklace at her throat is not mere adornment,
but a seal,
a mark of the realm she commands.
Hands on hips, she does not ask—
she declares.
The flowers behind her lean in,
as if to catch the heat of her presence,
as if they know
that beauty, when paired with will,
can stop the room’s own heartbeat.
In this frame,
she is not simply seen—
she is remembered.
The new book "Polymer Clay Master Class" by Judy Belcher and Tamara Honaman gave me the idea of including fibers into polymer (Dayle Doroshow and Sarah Shriver's project in the book). It was a first time for me and a bit scary, but I liked the result for this necklace. The Hunter's Wife presents the life of all the African wives of hunters who do with what they have, make beautiful things out of nothing, sing, laugh and love with so little.

THE DREAM
Afternoon nap in the bushveld, with a fly buzzing by, the bright sunlight making geometrical designs behind your closed eyelids, the smell of the dry grass underneath you, and the sound of a bug trying to find its way through it.
Hunting in the African bush. Hunting to survive, to find food, to find water, to find wood for the fire. Primitive? No, vital.
