This mini quilt went out in today's mail for my #sewmystashminiquiltswap partner. It was my first foray into free motion quilted pebbling. It's not perfect but I love the bright colors contrasting against the grey chambray background and the texture of the pebbles.

I love craft swaps because I can step out of my usual projects and learn new things, try new techniques and create something for someone I know will appreciate something handmade.

OMG how cute is this?!?! Thank you Dara I love it. I had a pretty terrible afternoon and this was a perfect antidote to my foul mood. One of my 5 year olds asked what it was, I said a typewriter and he said, "but what is a typewriter?" 😂 So we had a little history lesson too. livinglifewithmelody: I scaled it way down. Each of the keys ended up being just under 1/4" & I paper pieced it - 72 if in remembering correctly. LOL it's in my feed somewhere

3valve: I once asked my grandfather what his typewriter was (in my defense, it was an early word processor and those things look like nothing recognizable to a 6 year old) and that is STILL my family's favorite story to tell!

I love this pattern from @quietplay and it was perfect for my #SewMyStashMiniQuiltSwap and I was able to do the entire thing from fabric I already had on hand. I hope my partner loves it. #StashSewerTeamIris
