So I guess I don't have to state the obvious this is really post processed. I liked the image of this old house but the image itself needed a lot of help. So I went though my hundreds of filter options and I really liked this one. It ended up looking like a moonlit night even though it was taken in bright sunlight! I wanted to post something different, I guess it's that and it's my wallpaper for my tablet! I've been wanting to post for a while but I was chicken.

This was my first experience of photographing the night sky. It was unforgettable both for the unique beauty of the scenery as the cold it was. The photo was taken in Galdinopolis (Friburgo / RJ / Brazil).

The L’Étoile du Roy is a tall ship frigate inspired by the HMS Blandfort (1742).
Built in Turkey in 1996, the replica was seen in several TV series and windjammer parades. The ship has been moored in Saint-Malo since March 2010.

Das Replikat wurde 1996 in der Türkei gebaut und wurde bei verschiedenen TV Serien und Windjammer-Paraden eingesetzt. Seit März 2010 liegt es im Hafen von Saint-Malo fest.
Sipapu Bridge, Natural Bridges National Monument
Sipapu Natural Bridge in Natural Bridges National Monument, Utah, USA. The natural bridge is huge. Those are full trees under the bridge. The arch of the bridge is massive. Hiking down to the bridge at night is like hiking down into a magical land. The arch of bridge is 225 feet or 68 m wide, and the height is 144 feet, 44m. You hike down about 600 feet, 183m into the canyon along a dark trail. Suddenly you realize you have arrived, and looking up see a massive stone arch towering above your head, dwarfing all that is around, and making you feel very, very small.
Single exposure for the sky, stacked exposures in camera for the foreground, taken consecutively from the same spot. Hope you enjoy!

1st attempt at capturing the Milky Way. The amount of stars in the sky was almost unbelievable that night.
L'aiguille du Fruit (Fruit's needle) and Gebroulaz glacier are the crown the far end of the Méribel valley (AKA les Allues valley).
It's nice to hang tight with them under the star (and my warm down jacket ♨).
To Walk an Alien Land... He sat foot upon the barren rock of a new world, new to man. There was a residual atmosphere of Nitrogen and Carbon Dioxide but little or no Oxygen. There was widespread evidence of erosion indicating a prior abundance of water but there was little surface water now. They had spent decades in deep sleep and a small exploratory force had recently been awakened by the autopilot to resupply within the nearest system. There was little need for anyone to leave the ship as all resupply functions could be performed remotely by robotics. Spacesuits were still primitive and rarely used, but there were always a few who savoured the experience of walking a new world...

Ich habe den Mond erst gar nicht gefunden, so kontrastlos und blass war er im Kern-Schatten der Erde. Das ganze Specktakel war sehr spannend und kommt so bald nicht wieder.

Es ist aus zwei Bildern zusammengesetzt. Einmal mit Fokus auf den Kölner Dom, und das zweite mit dem sich im Schatten der Erde befindende blasse rote Mond, den ich noch etwas vergrößert habe.

5: 00 am: strange...this early morning suddenly someone in my dreams comes n tells me get up ! ;-) wit my sleepy eyes i got up saw outside my window a big full moon glowing in the starry night.
5:15 am: got hold of my camera n tripod headed straight to the roof...
even with 18-55 lens i wanted to clik this beauty
5:30 am: it was looking so beautiful, everything was so calm and quiet, there was cool breeze blowing as i mounted my camera on my tripod.....
5:50 am: after finishing with my shoot. I looked up the starry night i thgt abt this quote... i had read somewhere....
I knw I am not Vincent van Gogh, knew wht i had to do wit it... :-).
though my version of Starry Night is very diff....

I like how parts of the this photo look like they are coming out at you. And the color is amazing! This is a piece of stained glass art that was sitting on a windowsill. The bright colors caught my attention. Thank you everyone for the favorites!
Dvojno jezero z Lepim Špičjem v ozadju.
Fotka je sestavljena iz devetih pokončnih fotk, pri čemer so vse narejene na 18mm. Tako ne zagotavljam pravilno število zvezd, saj je morda prišlo do njihovega podvajanja. O zvezdah namreč nimam pojma. ;-)
Bila pa je lepa noč. Lepa priložnost, ki jo je veljalo izkoristiti. Polna luna je bila izrazita in je izza mojega hrbta dobro osvetljevala okolico. Če ne bi rezal spodnjega dela fotografije, bi lahko videli mojo senco.

This photo has been made out of 9 vertical photographs, all made on 18mm. I have to be honest and reveal that I have no knowledge about the stars. So, I cannot tell whether their number has been multiplied. ;-)
It was beautiful night with strong full moon. Unique opportunity not to be missed. The moon was behind my back and gave quite a lot of light on the surrounding area. If I wouldn't cut the foreground, you would be even able to see my shadow.
Zion National Park in Utah
September 27th, 2015
Back in September when I was visiting Zion, I got to see the rare and unique blood mood eclipse. It was absolutely incredible! Very excited to have had the opportunity to photograph and witness such a spectacular event. My hubby Matt Williams helped me execute this shot. I don't have any experience with night time photography (it's hard!) so he really helped me get this epic shot! :)
