Eastern Air Lines "Spirit of the American Soldier" N278EA (FLT EAL948) from San Diego Int'l (KSAN) on short final to RWY 25L.
This aircraft is newly outfitted with "Star Trek Beyond" graphics to advertise the soon-to-be-released movie. There is a 4-day comic-convention in San Diego and Star Trek Beyond is having a huge event this evening.

First flight out of LAX in this new scheme, headed to San Diego for the Comic-Con.
This aircraft is newly outfitted with "Star Trek Beyond" graphics to advertise the soon-to-be-released movie. There is a 4-day comic-convention in San Diego and Star Trek Beyond is having a huge event this evening.
So this is round two on the JJ Abrams Enterprise - it's basically a ground up rebuilt of my last attempt. Enjoy!
Also, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I just started University and had to get adjusted there. Posting will still likely be sparse, but we'll see!

Of course I was in the cinema to watch the new movie. It was very good. I really like the new crew. It's better than the new Star Wars movie.
I had tears in my eyes when they dedicated this movie to Leonard Nimoy and Anton Yelchin, who died too young in a stupid accident...

I'm strongly considering getting the bricks to make this soon. I think it would be an awesome display piece.
Also because this was the first Enterprise I was introduced to (shameful, I know) and I'm still not over losing her.
My Lieutenant's command uniform from Star Trek Beyond. I did really enjoy the new uniforms. I think they looked really good, although we didn't get to see them that much in this film.

This is probably my favourite angle on this thing. The body shaping on JJ's Enterprise (though he didn't design it I guess I'm just going to keep calling it that) has so many clever hallmarks to the original while still being a totally slick update on that design. I really, really like it.
Top view isn't too much different than the previous attempt. The big additions are the reshaped body, warp nacelles, and impulse engines.

The most important change here is the smaller body and curved struts supporting the warm nacelles. It adds a lot, that slight curve.
tonight's treehouse movie theater showing of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is likely going to be rained out so logic clearly dictates odin, kris and I should go see "Star Trek Beyond”.

GT 156 is seen on Dame Street with a 9 to Limekiln Avenue on the day the latest Star Trek film is released. Star Trek Beyond is the thirteenth film in the franchise which also has 726 television episodes created over a fifty-year period from 1966. And it shows no sign of stopping. 22/07/16

Совсем так себе (на один раз), разве что Ельцин нормально сыграл - запомнился, и кажется это его последний фильм, жаль чувака, нелепо как-то умер /RIP. Спок v2.0 тоже норм - прям вылитая копия того, из мемов. Блондинка-инопланетянка вроде ничо оказалась (Sofia Boutella), ну и Саймон Пегг старался как мог, и у него иногда получалось.
Спасибо ребята, но увы, по-моему получился дичайший бабблгам, фильм постоянно провисает, из-за избыточного количества тупейших диалогов (во славу Капитана Очевидность) так что если пропустите, то ничего не потеряете.
Из плюсов отмечу: отрисовку интерьеров, рельефов и космоса (например, очень красивый скалистый пейзаж чужой планеты); неплохая идея с роем, управляемым нейронной сетью, который глушат песней Beastie Boys - Sabotage (хаха), но жаль, что мысль с супероружием не развили поярче.
5/10 (накинул по баллу за отрисовку, блондинку, Пегга, Ельцина и ушастого).
Интересно, кто-нибудь смотрел всю эту сагу целиком - там же миллиард серий, плюс 12 фильмов, этот стал 13-ым (и плюс ещё один сняли в честь юбилея, и как бы не считается).
Думаю не посмотреть ли для расширения кругозора хотя бы первую часть, 1969 года (всего 79 серий, бгг) - его оказывается отремастировали и переиздали в 2006, хотя там скорее всего вода-вода.
