I could not have had a better start to the day at Baron Street on the fringes of the East Lancashire Railway. A blue sky and the sun shining on SR West Country 4-6-2 No.34092 City Of Wells. The locomotive begins its approach to Bury Bolton Street Station to commence her duties for the day. This photograph was taken on the 22nd September 2017.

Happy new year to all my Flickr friends. May all your hopes and dreams come true and may you have a blessed and happy year.
This photo represents me moving on and starting new.
I wanted to create this new account because I really need a fresh start. I created my old Flickr account back in 2009 and, frankly, I loathe my old Flickr URL. It's so bad.
But, please check out some of my old work! There are some hidden gems in there:)
I plan on uploading more. There have been a lot of broken sets that I've never finished and I really want to restart them or just trash them. So yes, I will get back to my Deadly Seven;)

These Red-necked Grebes only have one egg in the nest after having had a full clutch in this nest before. I don't know where the eggs have been lost to predation or to simply rolling off the tilted nest surface. The foundation of the nest is an anchored tire placed for the grebes. This pair seems predisposed to add too much material to the nest leading to the tilt. This is one of two active nests in the Bronte Outer Harbour Marina in Oakville, Ontario.
My Dad found this fence for me last Saturday...not that I wouldn't have seen it (it's pretty big), but I wasn't paying attention. I like the way the vine is starting to change to autumn. Have a great Friday. HFF!
Battery had gone dead and water drained out overnight on JLCX 4004 at Willows, SK. GWR Mechanical was at work filling her up and another locomotive was brought out for a jump start.

This is when I got home so a little on the tiered sidw
the house got cold while the cats & I were away, and it’s -12°C outside, so we decided to start new year’s day with extra warmth

The very beginning stages of my DQS9 pink and grey spiderweb quilt...and I'm already starting to doubt myself! What do you think? I'm already wondering if the fabrics work together, is this going to be an exciting enough design. I guess I'll continue on and if I don't think it's up to par, I'll keep it for myself.
And so to Road Car's opposition ....
Roy Marsh had started his 'Hail & Ride' service along this corridor using 8-seat taxibuses, and had gradually moved up to 16-seaters, but 1994 was when he finally obtained a full PSV operator's licence, and vehicle sizes started to increase, which might have been the signal for Road Car to seriously try to wipe him out.
It didn't seem to be working though, as his Sherpas always appeared to be carrying full loads, but his drivers were probably sitting at the terminus at either end until they were full, and only then departing - the joys of de-regulation !
He was a regular buyer and seller at the Manchester bus and coach auctions, so most of his fleet was familiar to me - this former National Welsh Sherpa / Carlyle had only been purchased there in April 1994, and was still in the colours of a former owner, Stoniers of Newcastle, Staffs.

SO I want to say thank you to my top 5 commenters who played the game and chose my OOTD for last week, it was fun and interesting to see what was requested.
Now things are back to normal and the weather is starting to improve, Monday's suck but sometimes it's okay to be naughty and dress a little bit sexy.
I took this picture on our way from Oklahoma City to Eureka Springs, AR. Some are taken in far eastern Okla., but most are from our trip to Eureka Springs.
