And there you have it. The original? Post-Apocalyptic mutant-fighting survival tale. The remake? Aliens impregnating rednecks. SEEMS LEGIT.
Though I'll admit - none of the Creature Feature movies were very good, but of the three I've seen, Day The World Ended was halfway decent, so it was the closest to all right. And the monster suit was awesome. And no, it never took this pose. Ever. It stood straight up like people.

... '70s Black Action super star Bernie Casey as the head demonoid in the 1972 tele-fright classic "Gargoyles".
The somewhat '80s-looking make-up design was in fact executed by future '80s make-up effects expert Stan Winston (Terminator, Aliens, Predator, Pumpkinhead etc.), who won an Emmy for it. Winston later worked again with Bernie Casey on Dr. Black and Mr. Hyde!
Sculpt update on The Queen - Aliens (86) - and the Egg Morpher - Aliens: Defiance - Dark Horse Comics. Both 1:18 scale.
The Queen
Completed the rough sculpt of the lower mandible and teeth. The lower mandible is a skeletal sculpt for the moment while I adjust and refine the teeth. After the lower teeth are complete, flesh detail will be added to the mandible.
The teeth are being sculpted on a separate pallet, so when completed can have a mold made and cast in clear resin. The teeth are individually sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt, a two-part epoxy from Aves Studio LLC. Once cured, I've begun refining each using dental tools and fine-grit sandpaper. Hope to have them at a full shine similar to the top set of teeth soon.
I still have to sculpt the gum line for the lower teeth and the pallet will eventually be set deeper into the lower mandible than what you see here. Many adjustments will be made after castings are made. Then additional casts will be made.
Do the top and bottom teeth line up? Close but not really - not too concerned with that since my sculpt will feature multiple head sculpts and not a jointed jaw. So perfect alignment isn't a priority here...although I will do my best to get it as close as possible before making molds.

The rough sculpt right now resemble Bugs Bunny gloves and not that of the nightmarish xenomorph but no worries, that will all change....just how I work.

I hand made the bald cap by layering latex on a latex balloon evenly up to 14 layers alway measure your head to the exact measurements to the size of the balloon.
