Spoonbill Standup
So, a man receives a parrot for his birthday. Unfortunately, this parrot is fully grown with a bad attitude and terrible vocabulary. Every other word was a curse. Those that weren't expletives were rude. The man tried hard to change the bird's attitude; constantly saying polite words and playing soft music. Nothing worked. When he yelled at the bird, the bird got worse. If he shook the bird, the bird got madder and ruder. Finally in a moment of desperation, the man put the parrot in the freezer. For a few moments he heard the bird squawking, kicking and screaming. Suddenly, there was quiet. The man was frightened that he might have actually hurt the bird and quickly opened the freezer door. The parrot calmly stepped out onto his extended arm and said: "I'm so sorry that I offended you with my language and actions, so I ask for your forgiveness. I will do everything I can to correct my behavior."
The man was astounded at the bird's change in attitude and was about to ask what had changed him when the parrot continued: "May I ask what the chicken and turkey did?"

When my oldest son was a little boy he would refer to Standard Camellia's as 'Stand-up Comedians'. He even got a mention in a well known women's weekly magazine. The artwork is still in existence from his first call to fame.
Photo taken at home in Malvern Link on 18-4-15. We lost this particular one along with a very nice Silver Birch when we extended our drive. Never have got round to a replacement.

This is my cool new standup desk.
I went to home depot and bought four 4x4 posts (4 feet high), and screwed them to my desktop as table legs. Added a little black spray paint, and I'm in business.
Have been wanting to do this for awhile and finally got around to it. Apparently, sitting all day is not so healthy as discussed here:
