First photoshoot around campus, it turned out to be a nice shoot, after some snow, and the cold.
I saw this young woman when we were on vacation. Her hair made me wonder if her life was more colorful, too.

What an impressive conifer, standing upto the weather, looking imperious and forthright. Taken on the Offas Dyke trail, approaching 'World's End' from the Eglwyseg cliffs.

In a world of ordinary grasshoppers, which like to stay well hidden, this little fellow likes to break with that tradition. He goes out into a sea of green wearing bright pinkish red with black and touches of white. Camouflaged? Uh... no. Bold and beautiful? Heck yeah.
I believe I've seen this one in the book, but need to look him up to give proper ID. Well, I can't find him in my book. So, I'm just going to dub him "Hellboy". (if you haven't seen the movie or read the comic, you won't understand this)
An ancient tree stands on a rocky outcrop, and appears to be reaching high towards the clouds. Processed hard in black and white to exemplify the rugged nature of this area, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains near Crowsnest Pass.

I Have to Speak loud,
So people know when to smile.
I Need to turn my camera to auto focus,
So my visions not blurred.
It's Time to step up to the plate,
As its christmas day.
Persistence is the key to survival.

Despite the harsh climate that these beautiful flowers live in - glaring sun, plain background, broken glass, they thrive on, and bring joy to those around them.
Let us be like these flowers.
The shot:
This photo presented me with many opportunities- since the tonal range was so small, and the background so simple. I contrasted-it up for that harsh gritty feel, but being careful not to lose too much detail in the sunflowers and their leaves.
Stop trying to fit in when you are born to stand out!
Taken on Fujifilm 100ASA at f1.8!
I love 50mm!!:)

In a corner of Packwood house gardens, there are moments of pure beauty just waiting to make the onlooker gasp. This was one such moment.
i know that this is sort of a cliche but i couldn't pass up on it while out at the tulip fields last weekend...i've got many more to upload in the next couple of days as i was especially trigger happy given the nice weather we had.
A red rose among green leaves. Of course telling you that is pointless, cause if you can't see the picture then you obviously can't read this.

In una notte estiva di cielo limpido una bellissima luna piena illuminata di giallo che risalta su delle colline lontane, sottolineata da della vegetazione vicina.
In a clear summer night, a wonderful yellow enlightened full moon which stands out over far hills, being underlined by the near vegetation.
