I then added textures and materials. I used a lambert material for the top of the rocket and the bottom loop of the rocket in a dark grey. The body of the rocket has a phong material to give the shiny relection. The blue fluoresecent light was made using the surface shader material which I put an 'outer glow' so it would glow blue. I then sources the black and yellow strip from Google and use it for the texture of the platform base. I did this used he UV editor. I also source a vent texture for the vent extruded in the model also using the UV editor.
