these shots are from a walk around the town square in woodstock il with paul mcaleer over the weekend
Today when I was at The Fly Cuppa, the airport cafe, I spotted this enviable piece of machinery. It's a Very Light Jet, an Eclipse 500. Six seater - just right for going on a shopping trip to the mainland with my pals. To hell with ferries scuppered by storm force winds.
Couldn't get it all in shot due to shooting through wire netting.
Then I had minestrone soup and a Stornoway stack roll (2 slices black pudding, tomato and chutney) Yum!
The conference uses about 50 laptops between the computer lab and other operations. We sell them all at the end of the summer.
As the sun goes down all the sunloungers on deck are folded and secured for the night, seen onboard MSC Musica.
Bosco was out for a morning run at the conservation area but Martin took a few minutes to stack Bosco. He had Bosco hold the stack for a minute and then released him to enjoy his run. Stacking Bosco in a variety of locations helps with Bosco's comfort level and helps us to fit in stacking practice during our busy day. Bosco's handler side rear leg should be pulled forward (towards his ummmm.... willie) just a tad. It's hard to tell in the wheat.
Bosco has a bit more muscle definition in his hind end since we've been running him up and down a steep hill to fetch his tug several evenings per week.

I took this picture after locating a good setting and driving out there right before sunset (5:30 isn) I brought a bunch of old antique books and had my model hold as many as I could. In photoshop I added separate cut out images of more books and stacked and angled them on top of the other books to make the over exaggeration. I made the books match in color tone and edited the lighting in lightroom.
The lighting and warm colors of this picture connect to my concentration as well as the use of the idea of the books stacked to the sky as the surreal element.

Been trying to get this shot for a while now. Could have had better light (really wish..) but it works.

South Stack Lighthouse in Holyhead, Wales. Always wanted to visit this place and when I finally got here it was shut for the Winter.
Rumoured to be heavily haunted!
Same as previous shot but processed marginally differently and cropped much tighter. Just deciding which I prefer. I like the first shot overall as a pano but it loses something on the small screen. I think the tighter crop displays better on a PC.

These are the descendent of my signature Stacker beads. I call them Stacker Blooms. They are thick and rounded, but not spheres. The swirl design is on both sides. Nice, plump beads.
The view from our table. People on Yelp remarked about the noise - and some of that may have to do with the ceiling and walls - there's something weird about the acoustics there because while the place was packed it seemed like voices were amplified more than normal.

Focus stacking is the process of taking multiple photographs focusing on various parts of the subject then blending the images to bring to focus the areas of interest. For the final image at the bottom, I captured eleven individuals images then processed these in Adobe Photoshop. The upper part of this image is one of the eleven scenes captured. While not a particularly appealing image, I opted to share the result for those who have inquired. Also, keep in mind, nature does not always play well. These were taken out in nature with a morning wind
