Hello my friends,
When you are a photographer, you often dream of the Norwegian Fjords, Iceland or the Faroe but by crossing the Channel, an island that has seen the birth of so many world-famous musical groups, offers us breathtaking landscapes. In 2024, with my converted van I traveled the coasts from the South to the North of Scotland, where I was able to discover this wonder of nature.
In the far north of Scotland, after a walk along the cliffs among the sheep, we discover a natural Duncansby Stacks
Hi Guys! I miss Flickr, I've been out taking as many pics as I can of Fall color before it goes away. Last night, I imported more pics in Lightroom and my computer told me my Hard Disk space is almost full. yikes! It didn't come at a good time either because I just ordered the full version of Photoshop and am getting it tomorrow. I need all the extra space I can get! TIme to do a ton of deleting...the "not-so-fun-part" of photography.
Anyway, I've always loved pics of stacked food on flickr like cookies, etc. I didn't have any cookies so thought I'd try crackers.
I'll be around soon to see your streams.
Some rainbow colored stacking rings I made for Amelia. She's just started to become interested in them--she likes to practice her new ability to hold things with the green and blue rings.

This is a smoke stack on the Port Washington Generating Station. The plant is gas fired. On a cold day like today, the emissions are really visible.
Photographed using a Sony Alpha A7R using a Nikkor 300mm f/4 lens.
this was taken at a Chinese herbal tea stall in Hong Kong.
Each type of tea is served in bowls and the stacked consumed bowls are displayed infront of the counter to advertise their good business ( and from a consumer point of view, that the bowls are not reused immediately? ^^ )
