Residents and community groups from Lynn gathered in front of Lynn City Hall to demand the state government enact legislation to protect against an expected wave of evictions and foreclosures related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
With Governor Baker’s temporary extension of the Massachusetts eviction and foreclosure moratorium, a wave of tens of thousands of evictions is now expected when the measure expires in the fall during what could be a second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic.
The rally focussed on the need to pass HD.5166 / S.2831, An Act to Guarantee Housing Stability during the COVID-19 Emergency & Recovery. The legislative session is expected to end July 31 and over 200 community, labor, and religious organizations have signed a letter to House Speaker Robert DeLeo, Senate President Karen Spilka, and Governor Charlie Baker urging them to pass the bill immediately.
Speakers at the Lynn event will also address the connection between housing policy and systemic racism, and the need for action at the local level to address the underlying crisis of housing unaffordability, eviction, and displacement.

Dutchess is hoping for no major upheavals in her life in the coming year. A year and a half ago, she lost her dad (my father) when he moved to the nursing home. Although he is still living, he doesn't know her anymore. In March of last year she had to move in with me when her mom (my mother) moved to the nursing home. Then, sadly, her mommy passed away in April of 2007.
She seems happy and content here with my family and I. Here's looking forward to a New Year with no new major changes for Dutchess and myself.

City Life/Vida Urbana members and community activists for the third week in a row protested outside of the Boston Housing Court. Protesters assert that taxpayer owned banks, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, have been evicting families âno faultâ at alarming rates in Boston and throughout Massachusetts. Four people including longtime housing activist and one-time mayoral candidate Mel King committed civil disobedience in front of the courthouse and were arrested.
The group is pressing for a stop no fault evictions until Mel Watt is confirmed to the FHFA. Ed DeMarco is the current head of FHFA, which oversees Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. DeMarco has resisted community-stability based solutions to the foreclosure crisis, such as principal reduction or long-term rent contracts. Pres. Obama has nominated Congressman Mel Watt to replace DeMarco. These government sponsored enterprises are 79% owned by taxpayers and they are currently among the largest mass evictors within the state, displacing thousands of working-class people and eviscerating communities of color. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac own over half of mortgages in Massachusetts.

Serenity is something I don't have a lot of in my life. My life is full of hustle and bustle and little stability these days, so working on my photos is actually an escape for me.
It's been dreadfully slow in the stores i've been in this week. The other day, I had to drive to work in Deltona, about 26 miles from home, only to be told to close up and go to another store all the way in Mount Dora, which is something like 56 miles away. It seems more than that, but that's what Mapquest said. I found the store fine, but on the way home, missed the exit, because it wasn't clearly marked, and ended up miles out of my way on a wild goose chase to Apopka! I drove past what was supposed to be my store as I headed back to I-4 and familiar turf.
I haven't been in "my" store for weeks. There's no one to cover the East coast, so it looks like I'll be a floater forever. It's closer to home most of the time, which I prefer, but it's just frustrating trying to make a living not knowing where you'll be from day to day. I'm getting tired of empty promises, too. I'm still grateful I have a job, but on days like last week, driving something like 150 miles and not even having a customer all day, ruling out commission, it's like making less than minimum wage. I'm starting to wonder if killing my car is worth it.

A group of community members marched through Lynn calling for the passage of the Housing Stability Act to stop mass evictions and foreclosures and also protesting Immigrations and Customs Enforcement raids in Lynn. Organizers said passing the Housing Stability Act is the only
option that will prevent mass evictions of the over 100,000 households in Massachusetts unable to keep up with housing payments in the pandemic.
Speakers at the protest also focused on the ICE raid on Monday in which a Lynn man was detained by federal agents due to his immigration status.
“We will defend our neighbors from eviction and deportation,” said Isaac Simon Hodes of Lynn United for Change.

How does plastic injection molding work?
The first step in the plastic injection molding process is to come up with the idea of making something useful, and then designing the product with cad software. You will need to design your part by using CAD software. Once you have designed your part and mold, you can begin to create the tool path for cutting out the metal shape of your part. Now that you have your design, it's time to put it into a mold. You'll need to select the type of plastic material, which is most common done with a resin identification code (ric). You can find this information in your CAD file or on the product's packaging. In this step, we clamp the mold onto the injection molding machine and let it heat up until it's hot enough to melt the pellets of plastic into a liquid when they enter underneath the ram. This process makes sure that nothing is trapped inside, which could cause defects in your product.
A molten pool of plastic forms under the ram as it pushes forward, filling in every nook and cranny of your mold cavity. After injecting the molten plastic into a cavity within a steel or aluminum mold, we remove it from the press so that it can be cooled and hardened.
Once the plastic has been injected into the mold, plastic injection molding manufacturers remove it from the press so that it can be cooled and hardened. Plastic Injection Molding Design
