This fantastic 10 day festival is a not-for-profit community festival which encompasses over 150 events varying from music & drama, the arts & heritage to gig racing, swimming, walking & lots more.

The festival was established in 2006 and will be running for its 8th year in 2013. It's a chance to embrace the places, people, history, culture, sport & industry that are connected by this very Cornish river.

Cycle ride on Roseland peninsula to St Mawes

While we waited for our lunch reservation we took Jonas to visit St. Mawes castle, which was built by Henry VIII between 1539 and 1545. The site is run by English Heritage much to the disgust of some Cornish separatists.

It is rare when Chris's children are all together in one place - on this evening we took them back ( with their partners ) to re-introduce them to some of their family history, while having a few drinks at The Rising Sun, and then dinner at The Victory Inn.
