I played around with my new distress crayons and the SSS stamp set Sketchy Ranunculus. I stamped the flowers on some watercolor paper and then added the distress crayon in fossilized amber and rusty hinge and added the water. did the same thing with the leaves using peeled paint. The panel didn't turn out like I wanted it to and got really warped so I just trimmed out the flowers and leaves I wanted and used them on this card for the current SSS flickr challenge. the ranunculus reminds me of the sun and I used some bright sunshiny paper from the June SSS card kit.
My entry into the Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge 46. I used the stamp set Flip Flop Season for the whole card.
This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge.
I used "friend" die from Simon.

What's the best part of summer? Being outside! I live in Michigan surrounded by beautiful lakes. The current SSS Flickr Challenge is all about summer. I'm also taking the OCC Creative Chemistry 101 for the first time. This was a Day 2 technique - Blended Spritz and Flick :) I masked off the center area and blended in 4 nature-y colors of Distress (Blueprint Sketch, Peacock Feathers, Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron). Flicked on a little water (or a lot of water in a few spots) and let the water do its magic. Added the tree outlines from the SSS One with Nature Set and finished it with a sentiment from the same set.
The SSS Wednesday Challenge is all about Masking this week. Note to self, water over masking tape bleeds a wee bit. I did a little white gel pen magic to try to make it less visible. Don't look too closely ;)
CASology is celebrating their 200th challenge this week. The focal point has a lot going on with the technique, but I think it still has enough white space to count as CAS? And it's a one-layer wonder!
SSS Products Used: One with Nature
This is my 4th card for this challenge...the other 3 are in the bin! Finally created one that I like for this week’s SSS Flickr Challenge, and the theme is “Summertime Fun"!
In the summertime, I like to ‘Create’ with lots of bright, fun colors...I used circle die cuts and punches to create masks for the ‘bubbles’, and broke out this really fun die. A few clear sequins, and, that was it!
Thanks so much for stopping by ~
For this card I used the 'Sketch Ranunculus' and 'Melody's Easter' stamps all from @simonsaysstamp 'Summertime Fun' #46 #sssflickrchallenge46

I'm on an ink blending kick. So many fun color combos to play with! The challenge over at SSS Flickr Challenge this "fortnight" is all about summer. What's more summery than flowers? I did some masking to create a little cluster of flowers, and embossed in stages with Platinum Sparkle EP. I masked the whole bouquet and inked over it. The one on the left is Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch. The one on the right is Abandoned Coral and Picked Raspberry. I finished it off with a couple different sentiments in the same sparkle EP. There's something magical about peeling off the masking tape and the mask and seeing the crisp edges.
I'm entering the card on the right in the SSS Monday Challenge - Monochromatic, as well. And Anything Goes still at SSS Wednesday Challenges, so I'm squeaking in one more entry.
SSS Products used: Favorite Flowers, Flowers on my Mind
Inkadinkado - Turtle Stamp
Spellbinders - Butterfly Die

I used products from the SSS June card kit to make this bright and happy summertime card for the SSS Flickr challenge!
For me, summer is a time when life has burst forth to its fullest beauty and splendor. I created the card for the sss flickr challenge #46 using SSS Look for the Miracles June card kit. The butterflies are from various other stamp sets. All design elements on the card are watercolored except for the chrysalis. I drew that in and colored it with Prisma color pencils. I added clear Wink of Stella to the butterflies, the sentiment and to a few of the berries.
