This is for my BIL's birthday at the end of the month. I sponged the panel with weathered wood Distress Ink. I laid the stencil on top of the panel, spritzed with water and then laid a paper towel on top to soak up the extra water. The sentiment was computer generated. For this card I used a combination of several stampsets by Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamp. For the background I used the Hero Arts "Magical Background". In my eyes it can be waves. Stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder then colored with Pistachio Distress Ink. The fishes are from Hero Arts "Oceans of Joy" and Simon Says Stamp "Under the sea animals". Covered the fishes with a layer of "Wink of Stella" shimmer. And covered them with "Glossy Accents".

My neighbor asked me to make a card for her sister's 80th birthday. Gave me a chance to use SSS Painted Happy Birthday die. The balloons are Penny Black & the cover plate is Lil' Inker. I used a color combo from one of Lexi Daly's color tutorials: Hawaiian Shores, Green Parakeet & Harvest Gold. Lots of shimmer on the balloons & the words are also covered in Nuvo Glaze. Made my card for SSS Flickr Challenge 103 a couple days ago & the challenge is about to close. I blended DO Faded Jeans & Broken China on white cardstock. Then again through the SSS Heart Mandala stencil--just in the lower right corner. It's subtle, but beautiful in person. The panel was spritzed heavily with Shimmer Spritz. The sentiment is SSS Painted Happy Birthday & alpha stickers. The big word is stacked 2 high, brushed with Wink of Stella & covered with Nuvo Glaze. White Nuvo drops provide embellishment. You might call me crazy for this one, but as a papercrafter I hate to waste paper. A few days ago I posted a card where I used @simonsaysstamp Folk Dance die to create my own stencil. This is that stencil, with all the ink on it. I just liked its messy look and bright colors so I backed it up with teal cardstock, framed it in shimmery yellow, added some @tonicusa Nuvo drops, and voilà. Paper rescued. Dashing rectangle dies by @ecraftdesigns, sentiment die and stamp by @pinkandmain. I'm entering this card in Simon's Flickr and Wednesday challenges.

I did some no-line coloring (I'm not that good at it, so I picked a simple image) using Polychromos pencils on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. Stamps, little hearts and patterned paper from @simonsaysstamp August 2018 card kit. Border die by @crafterscompus, @tonicstudiosusa Nuvo drops in white. Have a great weekend!

If at first you don't succeed...make a pink background. I was trying out @jennifermcguire's technique for layering #distressoxide inks, my first color palette was too yellow and bright enough to light up a small city, plus I somehow misaligned the @concordand9th Flower Turnabout stamp, and everything ended up in the wrong place‍♀️. Trash that, deep breath, start over. I hardly ever do pink, but I like the final result paired with @simonsaysstamp Modern Rose Blooms. Birthday stamp also by Simon and border die by @crafterscompus. I'm entering this card in Simon's Wednesday and Flickr challenges.
