This is a Suzy's paintable from SSS. I watercolored it with Zig markers and then cut it out and put it on a distress inked background. Added the greeting and black polka dotted paper.

My youngest turns 35 tomorrow so I pulled out the art supplies. You know...to save time and money! 😜 It has been a crazy long time since I have created any art, so it took me for-ev-er to get started. It took even longer for me to pull it all together into a card. Let's not count the hours and leave it at "A Marathon Event," of epic proportions! 😂😂😂 I really love the bright, summery, and tropical feel of the card. Now I have a hankering for a Mai Tai or Pina Colada...with one of those little umbrellas! 🍹

I used the "Summer Flowers" and "Thoughtful Messages" stamp sets, both from Simon Says Stamp's new Cherished Collection, and watercolored with Distress Inks. The background is a piece, that I created in March, using the new Distress Oxide Inks. This is also for the "Birthday Bash" SSSflickrchallenge#72.

The current Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge is, Favorite Technique! One of my favorite techniques that got me excited about stamping nearly 30 years ago is embossing. I loved heating the powder and seeing the image magically get raised. My favorite thing to do with embossing these days is the resist technique; it can give you such beautiful results. I am also entering this in the LOVE! - Handmade cards March Love Challenge for Ukraine.
