Used the ‘I like small dots’ stencil from #simonsaysstamp along with the friendship garden stamp and die set from #concordand9th
My April card kit from @simonsaysstamp may have been received a bit late due to Covid, but its theme couldn’t be more timely. The lady is emerging out of the rain and into sunshine. The nerd in me knows that summer doesn’t officially start until the solstice on June 20th, but with temperatures in the 80s this weekend...yeah. Summer is fashionably early. Rays stencil by @mftstamps. Colored with Copics. I’m entering this card in Simon’s Flickr challenge.

I used the kaleidoscope 3D embossing folder along with the simple thank you die and the mini flowers die - all from SSS for this card.
I'm having so much fun experimenting with acrylic paint, stencils and a gel press. Sometimes the prints are great other times...well, I'm still learning. Entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge, Anything Goes!

The SSSFlickrChallenge#94 theme is ink blending. So many applications for that! I pulled out my SSS Circular Lace stencil and an assortment of Distress Inks to make the backgrounds. I finished it off with a SSS Happy Birthday die.
The SSS Monday Challenge is "A Trio of Something." While I was getting inky, I decided to try out a few different color combos to come up with this trio of cards.

This tag was inspired by Carly Tee's on Day 2 of the 25 Days of Christmas. I used a couple of Essentials by Ellen sets for the cute images and the sentiment. The Tag die is from the Large Tags set by Simon Says stamp. These dies are getting a serious workout this month! This was pretty simple coloring, but I think it still qualifies for the SSSFlickrChallenge#136 - Coloring in honor of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.
SSSflickrchallenge#8 I used Tim Holtz sweater stencil with Fired Brick distress ink and a Memory Box Classic Ornament die to create the ornament and adorned it with two Sizzix basic snowflakes cut from glitter paper! The sentiment is one of my favorites from Simon Says Stamp Big Holiday Wishes!

The challenge for SSSFlickrChallenge#35 is all about watercolor. The SSS Monday Challenge is "new." Well I decided to try a new-to-me product/technique that Kristina Werner demo'ed at the Create Event this fall. I used a Molotow masking pen to trace the negative of the scripty word die cut. Once it was dry, I used a few colors from the Kuretake Gansai watercolor kit to make an ombre background. I tried to do a little water splatter and then lift color with a paper towel, but it really wasn't as visible as it is with Distress Inks. So I used a little bit of perfect pearls solution and flicked that on for some interest. Of course, it's impossible to see the sparkly shiny splatter in the picture. Finished off the sentiment stamping the rest in black ink, and then added some sequins. The Molotow masking is pretty great. It worked perfectly. Just have to make sure the paint is fully dry before you rub off the masking material.

Card made for Simon Says Stamp Challenge! SSSflickrchallenge#25
Supplies used:
Feathers die by Simon Says Stamp.
Simon Says Stamp Pale Blush pink ink.
Birthday Messages stamp set by Simon Says Stamp.
Delicata Gold pigment ink.
110 Lb. white card stock.
I also used the Look for the Rainbow stamp set from @simonsaysstamp on this card 😊 Colored with Copics.
Glitter and shimmer made with Spectrum Noir glitter marker.
Cut out the flower arrangement and added it on a background made from navy cardstock with the Sunburst stencil from @altenewllc and speckled egg Distress Oxide.
Sentiment from @tayloredexpressions.
For this card, I quilled one snowflake in grey and embossed the rest in silver. The front panel was die-cut using the stitched rectangles die from SSS. I love the neat finish this die gives to the panel.
I distressed the front panel using some cracked pistachio and peacock feathers distress inks. The snowflakes are from the 'Circle Holiday Sayings' stamp set, and the sentiment is from the 'Holiday Hellos' stamp set, both from Simon Says Stamp.
The silver/grey layer at the back is from DCWV cardstock stack.
I also added some grey and teal sequins to go with the whole card.

Got brave and tried Copic coloring again (thanks to the amazing Kelly Latevola). I used images from the SSS Stronger Together stamp set so I will be adding this to the current SSS flickr challenge.

made this for the current SSS flickr challenge to use embossing. I used my favorite embossing technique of partial embossing. Took forever to get a decent photo of my card that actually showed the partial embossing... sigh! anyway I used the SSS stamp set Lovely Spring and the company dies Lovely Day. The layout is based on the current Sweet Sunday Sketch so I will be posting this there, as well.

thanks for taking a look... comments are always appreciated... :)
So I'll be honest - only part of this was a new favorite technique. I'm still not won over on loose glitter. It's just so stinking messy! It was fun mixing my own colors of glitter, though. I only have a few colors, so it was fun to be able to stretch my supplies! I used the Cool Diamond glitter as the base, and then assorted colors of alcohol ink to color it. Again, you get a more translucent glitter with this technique than with the "real" colored glitters. But I kind of felt like chemistry meets crafts. I'm a science girl, so it was kind of fun. I covered a circle base with double-sided adhesive sheets and then stuck down the SSS Smile Circle die. Then I poured on the glitter and burnished it.
SSSFlickrChallenge#71 is a favorite technique. Like I said, the color-mixing was fun... but I'm not so sure I'll be using a ton of loose glitter in the future. But I got carried away mixing up different colors and have to use it up now!
SSS Wednesday Challenge is A Bit of Sparkle, so I'm also linking over there.

I used the ultra beautiful Spring Flower Burst stamp set coloring the images with some SSS Daniel Smith Watercolor Palletttes (Yana Smakula, Debby Hughes & Shari Carroll) the frame is cut using the SSS Stitched Rectangular Dies. The sentiment is from an Altenew set (Floksy Florals) plus I accented with Nuvo Crystal Drops. The flowers are all at different heights using foam dots/tape.

I finally picked up the new-ish set by SSS called Flowers on My Mind. These flower kind of remind me of Hawaii, so I made a card for a friend who is getting married in Hawaii. I decided to try the faux watercolor stamping in the spirit of the current SSS Flickr Challenge. I inked up the stamp, and then spritzed it a few times with water. In retrospect, these flowers may be a little too detailed for this technique, I think. You lose some of their fun, quirky details. The letters were die cut from a piece of paper watercolored with the pink, orange and yellow smooshed as a wash for a background.
