I used the sketch from the Winnie & Walter Birthday Bash Challenge, and combined it with a new SSS product I just picked up - the stitched circles die. Love that it creates the stitching on both sides of the cut! I love polka dots, so this background paper was a perfect tie in for the spots and dots challenge from SSS.

I used the flouring bloom plate die from #simonsaysstamp along with some #pawsitivelysaturatedinkpads

I used the Altenew Flowers & Leaves embossing folder with a dark gold metallic cardstock. Before embossing, I dabbed the embossing folder with ink (no misting with water or anything) and embossed it a few times, using a different shade of brown and black ink every time. In between I let the cardstock sit on the open folder, so the ink was completely absorbed (since the cardstock is metallic, it takes extra time to absorb the ink). Once I was happy with the results, I stopped inking and embossing.

The sentiment is Simon Says Stamp Birthday Wishes, which I die cut using the same metallic paper. I added color on the shadow die cut piece, by directly dabbing the ink pad over the cardstock, applying darker ink over the still wet lighter ink, and the cardstock did the rest of the work, since it was slow in absorbing, which resulted in the colors getting blended as well.

This is one of two wedding cards that I made to replenish my stash of cards. Entering the SSS Wednesday Challenge.

Here’s another card I made for the the current Flickr challenge. I used a floral border set from clearly besotted and coloured it with my zig markers.

I then die cut the sentiment using the Big thanks die from SSS using some distressed paper. Love how these big word dies add so much depth to a card.
