The central work area of the SETI@Home project, with project scientist Eric Korpela left of center (with two visiting English S@H devotees...) in the Space Sciences Lab, UC Berkeley, Berkeley, CA. Taken by a Nikon D40x at ISO 400 with a Nikon 18-55mm non-VR kit lens. (at 18) Camera's on-board flash fired.
SSL is proud of its flagship ferry, Smyril, which travels from Tvøroyri on the southern island of Suðuroy to the capital in Tórshavn several times a day. While I was there, it was on reduced power, with only 3 of its 4 engines fully operative. Smyril is the Faroese word for a merlin.
で、古いスキャナーを引っ張り出してきました。 7年落ちくらいの機種で、辛うじてフィルム一枚ずつスキャンできる程度(しかもメチャ遅い)。 それでスキャンしてみるとかなりギザギザが目立ちました(-_-;
I did not like the print of the photograph lab.
Therefore, I have bought the scanner.
