It is believed SS stands for Standard Swallow. In 1945 the company name was changed to Jaguar. About 1,800 SS2 cars of all types were produced from 1931 to 1935. This 1933 SS2 Coupe, JN2763, is maintained by the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust .
