The Art of Living International Centre; One of my favorite places in Bangalore, both for spending days in silence (truely celebrating silence) as well as for taking photographs (both day and night).
Looking at this beautiful architecture fully lit at night is always a pleasure and always tempting to keep clicking. At least with my new camera, I could get some good pics(well, at least to me) at night. Forgive me for the unsymmetry in the pics, I was not patient enough to frame it properly :(

I am used to saying that recognizing who you really are is simple, but not that easy…I am not saying that it is difficult, the fact is that you have been trusting in your thoughts for a long time. For so long you have been having ideas, believing in concepts. You have beliefs and judgments, opinions, and all sort of education, which has been being confused with that...~M. Twelve pairs of pillars, representing the twelve signs of the zodiac and encircled by ornate lotus petals, the Sumeru Mantap is sheer poetry in architecture.
The pillars have been so designed that the first rays of the Sun fall on the pillar with the corresponding zodiac sign carved on the ceiling above it.
What a beautiful evening with H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar at the Art of Living Event in LA. Laughter, meditation and joy are the words that best describe it for me. After the event, attended by thousands, I was deeply honored to have a private meeting with him and our own Cynthia Ruiz. To be in his Holiness’ presence was sheer bliss and we presented him with his personal copy of Discover The Gift. He invited us to Berlin as his special Guests in July and offered to bring DTG to India. I love that man!
So, feel it, be fully open, receptive, vulnerable to it: "Be done Thy will"; "You know, I do not"; "You can, I do not"; "You want to, I do not"; "You reign, I do not"; "You are the Lord, I am not." Do not verbalize, feel it! In these days, I said in one of the speeches in Satsang: do not listen to me, but take on this speech. Be what You Are, without resistance. Jesus called this "purity of heart": "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God." Only by being simple, this Simplicity, you are a bride with whom the Truth wants to marry, then, God presents Himself. God is not hidden from Simplicity that Jesus calls "purity of heart". Jesus chamava isso de “pureza de coração”: “Bem aventurados os puros de coração, porque eles verão a Deus”. Somente sendo simples, nesta Simplicidade, você é uma noiva com quem a Verdade quer se casar, então, Deus se apresenta. Deus não se oculta da Simplicidade, que Jesus chama de “pureza de coração”. Wonder
All our problems exist because of the curved question mark. It is like a hook that keeps us attached to everything in life. And the most common and disturbing question we can ask ourselves is: 'Why me?'… And Guruji tells us to convert the question into a 'wonder'. Joy in life is by being amazed by the miracles of every moment. Enjoy the process of living, rather than questioning. Questioning is attachment, leading to bondage; Wonder is detachment, leading to freedom.

This photo was taken on our visit to the Art of Living ashram in Bangalore, India. I am creating a documentary on Bibji Kaur. In 2006, she did a whirl wind tour of India, visiting several cities and giving lectures of peace and unity. It took all of my effort to keep up with this woman!
This event was at Silver Juiblee of The Art Of Living Foundation. The event celebrated 25 Years of service to humanity in Bangalore, India in February 2006. 2.5 million people from over 145 countries including spiritual leaders, politicians, business leaders , representatives from the world of music, film, arts, sports, AOL teachers, volunteers came together at Jakkur Airfield in Bangalore, Feb 17 - 19th to celebrate, sing, meditate and be part of what can only be described as a 'spritual olympics'.
Inside the meditation hall, each of the inner pillars have the symbols of each of the religions and traditions in the world. the ceiling has the both intricate carvings of both vedic and western astrology, set in pink lotus flowers.
Anna Hazare :Every single person should encourage others to join the movement and work for a corruption-free India. To lead the fight against corruption it is important to abide by five things – good values, a clean background, love, courage to face insults and sacrifice.
Sri Sri : We need to change the mindsets. Corruption begins where belongingness ends. What belongs to you will come your way, so make an honest living. This revolution to get rid of corruption should be brought to the country.
