Thank you for your continuing comments while my computer is down. I really appreciate them and will catch up when I can. This studio is located in Tilting on Fogo Island and is one of four built by Shorefast Foundation to be used for artist residencies. The studios are where the artists create; they live in the local communities during their residencies.
When I saw the photo that James put up today of JJ and Roxy I just had to go back and find the photo I had of Della and her big brother, Fenway. Fenway was two years old when we got Della and it was love at first sight. As shown by this photo he would let Della do anything to him. Fenway died unexpectedly when he was being groomed when he was eight years old. It was such a shock. Even though this is not a great photo it means to world to me because it shows how tolerant Fenway was. He was such a sweetheart and we still miss him so much everyday. Della might have the striking blue eyes but it's Fenway's eyes that grace my banner for Flickr. If you go far enough back on my photo stream there are numerous photos of my handsome boy.

The theme this week is Tilt-Shift photography. I was stuck as I had run out of time and these shots are best done outdoors. The weather... well you know, it hasn't been kind in the UK! So here's a indoor one with a touch of the whimsy
oops... look what happened to my berries. Our local Camera club had a presentation on macro and then some fun experimenting.
Normally my local used LEGO reseller trashes any non-LEGO parts when they come into the store. However, I saw these two large non-LEGO wing parts sitting in their back room and they were just too cool to let them be put into the garbage.
The Osprey is the end result of that salvaging operation. It ended up being a kitbash mash-up between a Star Wars snowspeeder and the Millennium Falcon (and the old school Battlestar Galactica Cylon Raider). It was a very challenging build, as the wing parts weren't as LEGO compatible as I first thought (and I also cut off a ball joint that I thought I could use, but was too small to use within a Bionicle scale ball-socket).
EDIT: And if anyone recognizes what these wing parts are from, or which company made them, I would love to know...

A note on this photo -- rarely do I ever use textures on newborn shots. In fact, this was a first. But I really like the way this turned out (my own processing and texture "faux" by Florabella). He was such a cute little man!!
On a personal note, I'm sad March Break is over. I had great plans for my family, but instead, spent most of the week home sick. Ugh!! I guess it could be worse right? There's always someone worse off so instead of sulking, I'm going to be thankful for what I have.
PS: A little retail therapy really does wonders for the soul!

Elizabeth is oddly happy even though I returned from convention with a few more Poppys and Integrity girls. I'm hoping it's partly because of this adorable dress by Squishtish that I brought home just for her. :)
