....sinking well into the flower.
Today was my first day of *proper full* retirement. I have actually felt pretty retired for the past year (since retiring last April) but have continued to work 9hrs a week as a locum. Yesterday was the last day of that locum work. I spent the day today mostly in the garden / greenhouse, oddly conscious of the feeling that today should feel a big deal but also liking it feeling pleasantly ordinary.
I like being retired and having a de-hassled life!

I was down in the mud & water at the end of the day getting this wide angle long exposure shot of the ocean with the bright lights of Macau beyond. The moon showed up for a while between the clouds.
I won a trip to Macau & Hong kong for a Wanderlust Travel Photography Competition win.

We grew it outside.
A clue for those of you of a certain age, you may remember a tv advert that had this line in it. 'I knows it 'cause I grows it'. 😀.

Fïnsterling ( www.flickr.com/photos/finsterling/ ) suggested that I could get an adaptor for my digital camera, so that I can use my Gramps' lenses on it. I settled with an URTH M42 to Z adaptor and it seems to do the job.
Took it out for a spin, with the Tessar 2.8/50 Carl Zeiss Jena DDR. When I shot it years ago, I remember that it was quite punchy and gave good colour saturation. Yep, still does that!
Aplogies for lack of faves and comments of late. Have been under the weather, as has our dog, which is getting on top of things atm.
