The demand for "all round" testers, i.e. being able to test the system's functionality through traditional testing methods and being able to show some technical knowledge is growing. Computer applications are more complex these days with technologies like android and also with lots of smart phone apps. The more complex the front ends, the back ends are even more intricate. So, it is all the more important to learn about Database Testing and be able to validate the databases effectively to ensure secure and quality databases.
Kiva has quite a few API and SQL interfaces for grabbing data and visualizing it. Actually makes the whole process all the more interactive.

Eddie is currently the tech lead of the DBA team at ExactTarget, a leading SaaS ESP located in Indianapolis. Eddie and his team design and manage the many multi-terabyte 24x7 SQL Server database clusters that form the foundation of the ExactTarget application. There are some great new tasks in SSIS 2012 to take advantage of (CDC) Change Data Capture. I'll walk you through adding CDC to your database and tables and then updating incremental changes using the New CDC Control Task, CDC Source and CDC Splitter.
